Looove this phone!!! Blows the G4 out of the water. Camera is amazing and its a quick phone. Was going tobwait for the G6 but read reviews and specs compared to the G5 not much difference except for price and speed. I went with the G5. Very satisfied with this phone!! Bought this for my hubby also and he loves it too!!

Lots of negative reviews online because LG tried too many "innovative" changes with this phone. For me the phone was faster than my old S5,and the special price ($120) too good to pass up. After all it was a flagship phone last year ( same processor as the S7). For the price I'll try it for awhile.

Nice screen, takes excellent pictures, easy to set up. Good reception, good sound. I am not as happy with top curtain menu design or the in phone photo editing as I was with the G2, but I love this phone, nonetheless. Connects seamlessly with my LG tablet, my LG TV, Bluetooth printer and my computer.

I switched about a month ago. And I am so glad I did. I wanted to give it some time, rather than give a review and then a few days in, have to update. Yes, there are a few apps that I no longer can use, but I do no regret my decision. This is a great phone. I like that it has expandable memory, ability to change out the battery, and better customization than IOS. I used an IPhone for years, so this was a bit of an adjustment. Screen operations are different and take some getting used to. Overall, the phone has performed as I expected. The cameras are really good, although the front facing (selfie) camera is a bit like a painting sometimes when pixel peeping, but I shoot in raw most of the time and use photo editors, which I really like having the ability to do. The manual mode is fun to play with, although no substitute for a dslr. However, I took several pictures on the beach, and uploaded them into my photo editing software along with my DSLR pictures, and it was hard to tell which were which. So, in summary, I highly recommend this phone. Once you get the hang of where everything is and swipe left, up, down, around... It is really easy and somewhat more fun. I do recommend getting a case that will be fairly easy to take the phone out of, if you get the second battery or any of the attachments.

This is my second LG phone. Went from a G2 to the G5. It is a great improvement. I wish they would have kept the button on the back of the phone but other than that I love this phone. No issues whatsoever. So much faster than my old phone. Camera is awesome and I like that you can put a chip in for more storage and take the battery out! Great features that are disappearing. Mine came with a spare battery and little charging case. Can't say enough about this phone. Would recommend it to anyone.

Had the LGG2 for three years with little problems and figured we would go with the LGG5. So far the phone has not disappointed us. It is almost the same as the LGG2 except for the HD camera. I was told that the battery is replaceable and we are very happy about it

Upgraded from a LG G2 which I liked. Was trying to get a Galaxy S7 on sale but the deal on this LG G5 was hard to beat. Very pleased so far. Screen is responsive, operation is fast, and battery life has been very good. Have not used the camera enough yet to rate it.

Purchased this phone when Best Buy was running a promo for $120 - making it $5 a month. Feels like a quality phone including the screen. Battery life is decent and so is the camera. Still trying to figure out the dual camera and how to best use it.

I bought this phone for my near-80 year old mother. She was leaning towards a Cricket, but I think with us helping to set it up and hide apps that she won't use helps to keep it from being overwhelming. I figure the replaceable battery will let her keep it for some time. The store salesperson was very helpful and patient as we tried to find her account number and go thru all the details in setting up the phone for Verizon based on her outdated flip phone. She lives in a very remote area and needs Verizon access. I haven't used the phone a whole lot myself, I increased the font size a bit, hid some icons and re-organized them. It looks like only 2 pages for icons are available? It's enough for her, but somebody downloading a lot of apps would need to look into that.

THe LG-G5 is an excellent phone. I've had Samsungs for years and after reading the reviews between the G5 and the Samsung Galaxy S7 I found the G5 had just slightly better reviews. The camera is amazing!! Takes super crisp pictures and takes them quickly. The operating system runs smooth and fast, faster than my brand new laptop does. I also love that you have a removable battery. I did have a problem with the power button though. After a day or two, and after a few hours of working fine, I couldn't wake up the screen no matter what I did. There were a couple other tiny little nuances that I liked better on the Samsungs than on the G5 like the back and home buttons, and the phone was slightly larger than I would like. Because of the power button issues I exchanged the phone and decided to go ahead and go back to a Samsung which I am used to. However if you are an LG person this is definitely the phone for you!

LG G5 is a nice phone. The replaceable battery is a saver in crunch. The photo quality is good enough. The other accessories that can be used with its modular design can be useful, but too expensive.

I went from a galaxy s4 to LG G5 and am glad I did. This phone has long battery life and takes great pictures. Also like the fact that you have to use fingerprint or Unicode to open phone and uses android 7.

Really nice phone. Went from a G3 to this and couldn't be any happier. The phone is really light and is thin. The slide out battery is cool but I feel like the bottom might break off the phone if accidently dropped or hit something. The battery does take some force to remove from the tray. The speaker is on the bottom of the phone which is interesting. If you support your phone with your pinky like I do it will cover part of the speaker. Camera has some good features and a manual mode that works on both the regular and wide angle cameras. This phone also comes with a fingerprint scanner that allows the user to program multiple fingerprints to unlock the phone or unlock secured photos or documents stored on the phone. Overall it's a nice phone, there are some minor things that the user may need to get used to but the rest of the features out-weigh the cons.
