LG G5 is one of the underrated phones of 2016 Flagship phones. It has an excellent snapdragon 820 processor which delivers great performance, combined with 4gb ram and 32gb of internal storage which can expandable up to 2TB using a micro sd card. It currently runs android Nougat 7.0 which is butter smooth OS from google. Camera quality is phenomenal and wide angle lens on rear camera is worth mentioning. Photos came great in bright and low light conditions. Battery was good for its size and ran close to a day for me with screen on time of 4 to 4.5 Hrs. I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone who are looking for a new phone which is not so big in hand.

Cons: dim screen (compared to s7. However readability is still pretty good, even in direct sunlight), feel in the hand is not great (does not feel premium and is not the most ergonomic hence why a case is needed),battery life is average, not water resistant
Pros: IPS display is a refreshing change from overly saturated AMOLEDS, performance is excellent, relatively good sized screen, excellent camera, fast fingerprint scanner

I bought this phone during a recent promotion for a a mere $120. It has been working great without any major issues. I moved from a Samsung Galaxy Note 4(5.7 inches, plus a physical button) and it did take a bit of time to get used to the smaller screen(5.3). To workaround it, I enabled the feature to hide the navigational buttons in many apps to get more space. This is a trade off for having a phone that I can easily carry in my pockets and much lighter. The performance has been very snappy and much faster than Note 4 as expected for a 2016 flagship. The wide-angle camera is very useful when needed. I do not care for the LG Friends Add-Ons but the free kit with extra battery, battery case and USB-C to Micro-USB connector is very nice. The glass that protects the rear camera is very weak and I accidentally broke it during a trip. I was able to buy the replacement part for a few bucks on eBay. But I suggest putting a protective cover before using the phone and be extra cautious in protecting the glass cover. Overall a fantastic deal and I would recommend this phone if it can be bought for a good price.(In my opinion it is worth at least 250) There are no better options at this price range.

I am a design engineer and very picky about my personal technology. This phone has met all my requirements and expectatations.
Have had every smart phone from Kyocera palm integrated phone through multiple iPhonea, and a Samsung Note and GS4. When GS4 USB port failed I repaired it because I didn't like any phone options available. Samsung went the wrong direction with no SD or battery swap options.
So when this LG G5 came out I finally had something that looked like it had every thing I wanted and except for some subjective things seemed to be the best reviewed.
Had the phone a month or so and it is perfect.
I added a 200GB SD card ($68 on sale) so I have more storage than some laptops.
I bought the camera "friend" adaptor and love this for when I will be doing lots of pics or video. The grip is better.and controls are nice but also the extra battery helps when using it so much.
Camera is great and has been reviewed as one of if not the best. I like the extra option of a wider view for pictures and it is still a very high quality picture.
Found a great case that is two parts and allows you to take off the bottom with the case still on to swap batteries. I hav a second battery with charger given as promotion when I bought it.
Love the all metal case. Looks aside, I'm not a fan of the glass cases or curved screens Samsung uses.
Love the USB-C connector. My biggest issue with android phones had been the old USB connector because it was polarized and mine all seemed to fail at some point.
Battery life is ok but with heavy use I will need to charge or swap at some point (about same as my GS4 was) The fast charge USB-C makes this quick though and of course one of the only phones where you can swap.
I love the size of this. Not the biggest but fits in my pocket nicely. Still big enough to watch movies and with a decent work surface.
Overall, I can't imagine wanting anything improved. One of my favorite purchases this year.

I just switched from an iPhone 6 to this phone and I don't regret it for a second. It has awesome battery life, a wonderful camera, and is very quick when trying to open apps/browsers. I would recommend using this phone. I went ahead and purchased a micro sd card to go with it and a case, which I would highly recommend doing. Can't beat the price!

Have had Samsung's for a few years and got tired of all the problems my wife and I constantly had. This phone has by far exceeded my expectations. I highly recomend. The dual cameras in the back are fantastic. I haven't even delved into all the things those can do yet. The battery life is exceptional. Very sleek looking and easy to use.

First...I usually buy Samsung phones, but when I saw this LG Phone for such an awesome price, I decided to give it a try. This phone has met or exceeded all of my expectations. It is fast and the layout of the buttons is very intuitive. The power button/finger print reader (combined button) is on the back...eliminated bumping the button when located on the side. The fingerprint reader is second to none. I disable the one on my Samsung because it continually gave me an error...not with this!! Another plus is that the battery is removable..so you can just swap out for a fresh battery..this is helpful when you are not near an outlet to charge the phone. The phone also has Fast Charge. This feature works as advertised!!! Very fast!! Only negative is the Samsung has wireless charging...it is a trade-off for the removable battery, I guess. This would be perfect if LG made a wireless charging back that could be purchased for this phone. To wrap up...I would buy the LG over the Samsung..I am a believer!!

I was an Iphone die hard user for 10 years starting with a first Iphone 3G . I used Iphones 4,5,6 . The only flawless one was an Iphone 4.
LG G5 was a big surprise for me . I paid $120 deal ( $600 normal price) for 32GB phone with ability to have external SD card up to 2TB plus extra battery. Battery time is really good. Feature to replace battery is useful. Charge time is fast. Bluetooth and audio Codec ( and sound) are perfect. With USB-C I dont need to think how to connect my cable ( similar to iphone lighting) . But CAMERA !!!!! The best camera from all phones around. It even better than Samsung S7 camera. I do not compare it with Iphone 6 and 7 cameras because both are too mediocre to compare with Samsung 7 and LG 5 cameras. People are always amazed with quality of pictures I take using my LG G5. Bottom line , - Best Phone I ever had.

Love the screen; the great wide angle camera and the modular design that helps you swap the accessories. It came with a spare battery during the Best Buy promotion sale. Over all a great phone for the price tag.

I had the LG G3 previously and before that the Lumia 1020. I love android and windows mobile, I don't care for IOS. I still haven't seen a phone with a camera as good as the lumia but everything about this phone is great. The screen and design is beautiful, the fingerprint scanner is ergonomically placed on the back of the phone where your finger usually is when you hold the phone. I love the knock code option. I honestly don't have an issue with the lack of an app draw (even though I hear you can bring it back). The phone is very fast and the camera is very good. When i had the G3 I thought the screen was beautiful but this phone blows the g3 away in every way (except slimness, although it is still a very thin phone) and bezels (I have yet to see a phone that makes the most of it's screen with thin bezels like the g3). The G5 and G3 are pretty much the same size but the G3 has a bigger screen. The only complaint I have isn't really with the phone itself, it's with the screen protector I bought on amazon but the phone is amazing! Definitely consider this if you're in the market for a new phone.

Got this as an upgrade from LG G4 that boot looped and this was on sale for $120. Overall, it is a decent phone but definitely doesn't feel like a flagship. The camera is excellent even in low light conditions. The battery life is great and the replaceable extra battery is quite useful. The screen is not as bright or sharp as the S7, there is some light bleed especially at lower edge. The phone also feels a bit too light even though it has an all metal body. Good phone if you get it for under $200.

I have owned the phone since it launched in early april. I can now say I really enjoy the phone. It has the best camera I have ever seen out of a cell phone. The processor speed is very crisp and responsive to multiple apps running. Battery life has been sufficient for a full days use. So far id highly recommend this under dog of a phone.

Great Phone to begin with for the price I paid. This phones strength is the mod capability which comes in handy at times. The screen quality isn't as good as Samsung but I still like it because the battery lasts longer than Samsung phones I've owned. Day to day performance is snappy and I like the feel in my hand.
