Camera: The wide angle lens is absolutely AMAZING for taking some nice shots of kids. This camera is better than my iphone 7+ in normal lighting and similar results in low lighting. You will LOVE this camera unless you compare it to a DSLR.
Speed: SUPER Slick. Some guy complained this is last years specs... That is stupid, it is the same processor as Google Pixel and cost about $100 less than the S8 and Pixel. It is PLENTY fast. The pixel has been constantly praised for speed yet he wants to complain by comparing it to a phone that isn't even officially out yet...
Size: Very easy to hold and grip with one hand. I don't mind big phones (also own iphone 7+) but this is still a refreshing feel.
Display: Much more vibrant and gorgeous than I expected. It really is fantastic. It's sharp, bright and colorful without being weird. The Galaxy S8 will likely have a slightly better display overall but this is VERY impressive.
Durability: This is a TANK for a glass phone. Much safer bet than the S8 and S7 Edge due to curved glass screens that are much more likely to hit the ground when dropped. Haven't needed to test this and hopefully won't have to but so far all the durability reports are amazing so far. See jerryrigeverything video on youtube if you like.
Software: LG's software is good and easy to use. I like that multiple call options come up when I'm on the phone with someone. The settings is easy to navigate and the notification shade is super easy to use.

To preface my review I want to say that I typically buy used or unlocked phones. I like cell phones and am always trying different/new ones. That being said, I signed the 2 year "finance" deal for this phone when they offered it for half price. I was willing to commit to this phone for 24 months because that good.
The screen is very good, 5.7" packed into a phone barely larger than a 5" iPhone 7. The bezels are tiny, which I really like. The only different thing is the screen corners are rounded, not square. But I'm used to it now and I don't even notice anymore.
The phone is is extremely fast and responsive, no lag at all. It has plenty of RAM and a good processor to accomplish any task. It has dual window mode where you can use two applications at once, one on the top half of the screen and the second on the bottom half. This is extremely useful as I use this as my work phone as well. So copy/pasting for emails or messages is super easy.
Battery life has been great too, I get 3+ hours of screen on time with a couple hours of phone calls per day no problem. And that's with GPS, email push sync, auto screen brightness, WiFi and using Google services all on for the entire day.
Lastly, the camera is awesome. I am not fancy photographer, but the auto mode works great. And the super-wide mode is really cool, it's amazing how much you can capture in one shot.
I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone looking for a new android phone. And if you can get it while its half off its a no brainer.

I like the form factor of this phone, it has a flat screen, and nice curved ends. Battery life seems on par with most other flag ship devices, screen is very nice, crisp and clear. OS is snappy with no lag, does have some bloat wear on it, but not samsung amount of bloat, and the LG overlay is very unobtrusive. The ip rating and shock resistant is a comfort. Speaker phone is good and clear and has plenty of volume to it. Overall a great experience. I have had the Mate 9, Samsung Galaxy S8Plus, and iphone plus, and I prefer the LG G6 over all of them.

I had been researching for a good phone to breakaway from samsung and have always considered LG as a viable alternative.
This phone has the new 18:9 aspect ratio. It takes some getting used to but a beautiful display none the less.
It has a bottom firing speaker that at louder levels seem to have some distortion but other wise performs nicely at a moderate level.
The battery charges nice and fast and lasts a fairly long time, have used the phone moderatley during the day I usually have about 48 percent left but the time i plug it in at the end of the day.

Great Flagship Phone with Performance & Feel

Just picked this phone up after my Nexus 5x died on me. I *love* it so far. The lack of bezel makes the phone feel great (despite the awesome screen).
The phone has a nice weight to it, which gives it a great premium feel. That, to me, has always given a phone the feel of a flagship and high quality device.
Specs speak for themselves, the phone is responsive and zippy. The battery life is incredible, and it charges STUPID fast.
The LG interface doesn't seem to slow things down (unlike my experience with Samsung's Touchwiz), so it feels pleasantly similar in responsiveness & simplicity to stock Android.

Phone is excellent, however I'm used to a Nexus device and I miss the pure Google experience. I also miss timely updates from Google. Camera is good, battery life is great, size is good, and the phone is r easy to use with one hand.

Wish I would have switched to Android sooner. This phone has everything you need and more. The camera gets you amazingly clear photos and videos. Battery life is outstanding. I love that you can use a memory card to add music and games. Phone heats up a little if you're talking too long but cools down quick. Highly Recommend this phone

I really love the size and quality of this phone. My previous phone was 6 years old, so this is so much nicer. It's pretty easy to figure out. The quality of the pictures is excellent. I was happy to be able to change the font size to make it easier to read. So far, I'm very satisfied with this phone.

Never had an iphone, bought one, took it back in 12 days, took 3 steps to make my favorite calls. Much preferred the android I last had so I went back to an LG. Much more user friendly than the iphone. Great sale at the time, fits my small hand, can dial my favorites in one move. Great camera.

My LG3 finally died and I know I'm a few generations behind on the LG models. However; the changes over the generations are not significant significant that I felt like I was usimg a total new phone.
I like the size of the phone it fits well in my hands. The camera is GREAT! ..lots of new options amd filters. The texting keyboard goes a little crazy at times...almost like it needs calibrating...it will double type letters or type the letter next to or above the letter you were intending. The battery life is superb. I'm not sure how I feel about the volume buttons on the side...still getting use to them. Overall pretty satisfied.

I've been an iPhone person since way back when the 4 was released. However, I began to get turned off when the 7 introduced with no headset jack and the same resolution as models before. Then the 8 was just introduced with yet the same resolution. I didn't want to go back to Android, but I gave it a shot and I was very surprised. iPhone still has an edge on the camera, but performance wise, this phone is hard to beat.

While this is a more powerful phone, my Windows Phone was much easier to use. Still trying to figure out when I get alerts, which app is actually alerting me. Nonetheless, I like this phone a lot. It syncs with my MS Office account. The camera is great. It also came bundled with a free Google Home.

LG has been VERY underrated. I personally have a Galaxy S8 Plus and got this for my parents. Let me tell you, LG may be my next phone once I'm eligible for an upgrade. Setting it up for my parents gave me the opportunity to play around with it and I gotta say I was impressed. You get all the features and specs as other flagships except the price! LG is doing something right. They need more PR cause their phones are top notch.

This is the 1st LG phone I've purchased. I've owned several Samsung Galaxy phones. This phone can do almost everything that all the other phones can do. The only thing I don't like, is because it's not as popular as the new Galaxy and i-phones, is there are less accessories for the LG phone. But that aside, the phone itself has worked very well.
