LG has done a great job with this phone. It has a large 5.7 inch display with vibrant colors and clarity. It has a snapdragon 821 processor so it is fast and can handle many applications without lag. It also is great for gaming if your in to that. I would give it a 5 star rating if it was not for the average battery life. If you stream a lot of videos, be prepared to charge the phone in the middle of the day. A solution to that is the LG G6 has fast charging so you can top up in about 30 minutes...just have a car charger. The dual 13 mega pixel camera is TOP NOTCH and has different modes that you can use to enhance your point and shoot experience. The front facing wide angle 5mp lenses does the job well and can satisfy selfie addicts out there. The build of the phone is phenomenal. When you're holding it to your ear it feels well-built and sturdy. The front has grill like glass three and the back has gorilla glass five so it gives you peace of mind that for the most part your phone is protected in case you drop it. The phone also a certified water and dust resistant which is an added benefit for you. The fingerprint sensor which also ask as the power on off button is very responsive and placed strategically well in the back below the dual camera. The phone cosmetically is beautiful. So if you want a flagship phone that also gives you the best value for your money, I encourage you to get the LG G6.

---- Pros ---- - As of this writing, LG is offering a 2 year warranty if you register within 90 days of purchase - Dust immune and highly water resistant (IP68 rating) - 1440p high resolution screen - Its great looking IPS display won't suffer from the aging issues of OLED displays (such as the Pixel, OnePlus, Galaxy, and probably the new iPhone 8). These issues are: permanent dimming (due to even screen wear), color shift (due to blue pixels deteriorating faster than red and green), and burn in (due to uneven screen wear). - dual rear camera (regular with OIS & wide angle) - small bezels, so the phone is small for its screen size - no curved glass on the screen, so tempered glass screen protectors fit it nicely without large gaps or the fragility of rounded glass screen protectors - micro sd card slot - mostly a stock Android experience - wireless charging (regular speed, not fast) ---- Cons ---- - no bootloader unlock as of 2017.08.25 - no root as of 2017.08.25 - mono bottom firing speaker sounds poor (at least the volume is decent though) - the camera sensors use small 1.12 micron pixels which can result in noise in low light shots (for comparison the Pixel uses 1.55 micron pixels which are 38% bigger) - carrier and LG bloatware can't easily be uninstalled - wide angle lens does not have OIS - only 32gb of internal storage (the sd card slot is a saving grace) - still running Android 7.0.0 as of 2017.08.25 (Android 7.1.2 and 8.0.0 are out) - LG has a history of ending OS updates in 2 years or less (fingers crossed for Android O soon, and that it will get Android P before updates are halted) - some of the changes LG made to Android are arbitrary and undesirable (although its closer to stock than many competitors) ---- Other ---- It has a wide angle lens (better for capturing scenes) in favor of a telephoto lens (better for high quality, accurate, flattering portraits and optical zoom). The power button is integrated into the rear fingerprint sensor. If the phone is lying on a table, the power button can't be pressed without picking the phone up. However, the phone supports screen tap to wake, and double pressing the volume buttons will also turn on the screen. The screen ratio is 18:9, which is extra tall. This has several points of impact: - The 5.7 inch screen is the same width as a 5.2 inch 16:9 "normal" aspect ratio screen, only taller. - Although this screen format is gaining popularity (Galaxy S8 uses it too), it is still very new, so many apps do not utilize the extra space well or at all. LG has an option to force apps to run in more common aspect ratios, and to zoom into apps to utilize the extra space. But this solution doesn't always work perfectly. It can cause cropping that sometimes interferes with the normal operation of a program. Most video is 16:9, so you'll have black bars (effectively making the screen 5.2 inches), or you can zoom in and crop. ---- Conclusion ---- Right now this phone can be found at discounts that make it the best phone for the price by a wide margin. And the 2 year warranty is fantastic. But if price doesn't matter, I'd be inclined to consider the Pixel for reliable software updates, root, stock android without bloat, and massive camera sensor pixels for low light photography.

Got this for my wife. It's a great phone and works perfectly for her needs. We're at the point were all high end phones are all great. This phone takes great pictures. It's fast and responsive. Videos look stunning. Has an SD slot for more storage. It looks very sleek and high end. It should be a good phone for anyone who is interested in it.

Clean Design. Waterproofing. Large Screen packed into a one hand device. Extremely bright screen. Wireless charging. Fast and fluid. Absolutely the best I've ever owned. I'm loving this phone. Full warranty extended to two years when registered with LG. That clinched the deal for me

This phone is the best LG phone I've ever used. I have had the G2, G3, and the G4. This phone has it all with wireless charging, good (not great) battery life, and honestly is the best looking and best feeling phone I think I've ever owned. The camera is good. Very good if you read the reviews. But, I don't think it's great for what I use it for which is to take pictures of my children while they play. Usually, I take pictures of them in the kitchen or the living room and the pictures are either not sharp enough, or blurry. I shoot in auto mode. It has lots of other camera modes but my Pixel was much more reliable for me when shooting pictures of my family.

As one YouTuber said, "LG G6 is the best Android phone no one knows about". Nice screen, snappy performance, and really good dual lens camera. Coming from iPhone 6s Plus, really happy with a much smaller phone giving me the same screen size I had. On sale for $120 over Black Friday made this a no brainer for me. Two minor criticisms -- keyboard doesn't always pop up the first time I tap on the entry block when I need to type and the camera software is a little aggressive with sharpening. Other features, performance and price more than make up for those minor issues.

Got this phone for a great deal on Black Friday 2017! It's fast and has an SD card slot and finally LG has a water resistant phone! Have yet to test this, but it's there in case. It looks great as well, especially like the thin bezels. However, no more removable battery... Only downside I can think of. Takes great photos and videos. Pretty much all flagship or high quality phones are the same nowadays, you can't really go wrong with which ever brand you choose. It's more the skin the company uses to cover up android with.

If you're not someone that NEEDS the latest and greatest, but still want a high end phone, this is it. It's fast, the battery lasts a long time, takes great pictures, and I like the ergonomics of the phone. The back side home button might be a turn off for some, but I love it. The ONLY complaint I have is that there is no indicator light. Nothing lit to tell you it's charging, or no blinks to notify of an alert/message. These go on sale often, and you just can't go wrong.

LG G6 - an excellent choice

After reading reviews, the two top Android phones appear to be the Samsung S8 and the LG G6. So when I was looking at new phones (and the current promotions on price), these were the two I considered. With its curved, edge to edge screen, I was concerned about the screen of the S8+ being more prone to breakage; one review supported that concern. Therefore, my choice became the G6. Not a bad choice, since I had been happy with my G4 for the last two years. The G4 felt more substantial in my hand, and I liked the feel of the curved back. Did the G6 feel "cheap" by comparison? After using it for the last week, I am enjoying the feel of the G6. It feels light and smooth, and now it even feels more sophisticated than the G4. It seems to be more responsive, and the sound is excellent. My wife and I each got one (her first smart phone), and we also enjoy the wireless charge function, which it now shares with the Samsung. The S8 still appears to be sexier than the G6, and I'd like to think of myself as making logical decisions rather than emotional. But, one accident and a broken screen... The G6 is a great decision.

I primarily use Android devices, from Samsung or LG. This is the best phone I've owned in the last decade or so. Performance beats or matches other flagship phones and the design is top of the line. I'm also a photographer..this is the 1st device that really gave me pause to bring a stand-alone camera in social situations. It it VERY good in manual mode! Best price anywhere was BestBuy!

Really great phone! I got it at a discounted price through Bestbuy. The battery and camera are good. The screen is big but nicely fits in your hand for one handed operation. If you are looking for a flagship phone at a great price, pick up the G6.

Nice vivid screen with fast processing speed. Great camera... the wide angle feature comes very handy. Good call sound quality. Had a Note 5 before. Was considering Note 8 as an upgrade, but LG G6 seemed to be a better deal financially and hence a wiser choice as specs are very comparable. Was concerned if the files and data would transfer, but transfer was smooth. Only thing I miss about the Note is the Stylus.

I've had all the LG G units from the beginning and this definitely feels like the most refined of all. A more smooth double glass unit like the Optimus G, but smoother. The 2 year warranty, the push to harden the unit to falls, heat venting and a bigger screen in a smaller unit were all a plus. Will miss the battery change out ability, but the water and dust proofing along with a more sealed and cleaner feel make up for it. Not to mention you have a two-year warranty on the battery. A definite culmination of all they've been working towards.

I have had the LG G4 and G5 and was never disappointed so the G6 was the next logical choice. I haven't found one fault with this phone yet (I've had it about a month so far). Excellent battery life, which almost makes up for the loss of a removable battery, huge screen, and the fingerprint unlock works effortlessly. This phone has kept all the good features of the G5 and improved on them. The price ($480 currently) is also fantastic. If you are looking for an Android alternative to a Galaxy this is it.
