My old laptop was getting to be slow and the batteries were not holding a charge like they used to. It was almost 12 years old, so it was time for something a little more up to date. I had been looking at the LG Gram 17" because of the weight. At 2.98 Lbs., compared to my previous HP Envy 17", I wanted something that was light, yet had a fast processor, large disk space and 17" screen.
The LG Gram checks all these boxes and more - it offers a very fast WiFi connection, so this is what I wanted.
I don't do gaming on it - I use it for business and am looking forward to taking it on the road to show it off; especially its light weight.
I have not found its construction to be an issue as some have. On the other hand, I doubt you could abuse it as much as some of the other, heavier versions from other vendors. Having said that, I think most people would be inclined to be careful and prudent around a system that costs >$1500 to begin with and not treat it carelessly - especially using it on the road!
The LG Gram looks impressive, and is sure to turn a few heads, although that was a secondary consideration.
I would purchase again and would recommend this machine to others.

Screen is great but all the keys are working differently than my previous computers and it's driving me crazy. Control home does not take me to the beginning of docs or beginning of posts. Neither does control end take me to the end. I have yet to figure out what I need to hit to do that. It's time consuming and frustrating.
Not a huge fan of Windows 11 either.
Disappointed it didn't have a DVD player. I bought a DVD writer and returned it because it ruined two movie discs.
I may change my review after I've had it longer but it's not what I was hoping for.
It is lighter than any previous laptop so that part is good. It also seems to run cooler than previous laptops.
