    Faulty microphone/programming.

I would love this laptop, except for one BIG issue. The microphone. As a student who is taking constant notes and doing quick searches online, the microphone is invaluable. It really saves time. However, the microphone keeps disappearing (see screenshots). I'm constantly checking for updates and restarting my computer because I keep losing the microphone. This happens EVERY TIME I USE IT. When I'm in the middle of studying and have all my notes and windows open and organized, it's extremely frustrating, not to mention a huge waste of time for a student that has no time to waste, to have to restart my computer and open/organize everything all over again. And I sometimes have to restart it twice. And good luck getting help from Best Buy or Geek Squad, especially online. Most of them don't know what they are doing or how to fix any issues. So, if the microphone is a tool that you use frequently, this may not be the laptop for you.

A Great, Light, Fast Laptop with a Lot of Storage

I bought this to replace a 2-in-1 ASUS laptop. This LG is the only thing I have found with close to the same storage (the ASUS had a .5TB SSD and a 2TB HDD). I chose to let it upgrade to Windows 11. Overall this is a great laptop! It is very light and fast, keyboard is firm, and the screen is terrific. I don't use the tablet mode much, but in testing it seems just fine. The speakers are quite good given the space constraints. I miss having an SD slot! It has a slot for a micro, but I still have uses for a standard SD. My biggest gripe is the numeric keypad layout. They squeezed it a bit and therefore had to stack the "/" and "*" keys to a new row. That could very well mess up a user who actually uses the numeric keypad in the conventional way. I use mine the most for sheet music entry, and the layout is taking a while to get used to. I also miss the page-up and page-down keys, but I can see an advantage to integrating those into the 4 arrow keys via use of the Fn key. Maybe I'll get used to it. Battery life seems very good! I have used it for several hours on battery, even while doing video editing (which seemed to burn my ASUS battery quickly) and it seems like I will be much less dependent on the AC cord. So far I have only taken it down to about 40% after these extended sessions. I had a problem with the Alt-Tab functionality, which I think turned out to be a program that failed to install correctly (having nothing to do with these keys, seemingly). I asked LG's Twitter account about it and they gave me the support number for the computer techs. I had to be on hold for about 25 minutes, but I then talked to a very helpful and patient tech. He stepped me through several steps to isolate the problem, and we finally discovered a missing registry entry (later experiments by me seemed to connect this to that failed install). He had me add it and all was well. Afterward the LG-Twitter folks even contacted me to see if my issue was resolved. I think that is the best customer service I have experienced in many years! Since then, I have installed 2 music publishing programs, an OCR-type of music import program, a standard OCR program (ABBY), MS Office, Libra Office, a VERY old version of Paint Shop Pro, and several other programs that I was worried about. They are all working. I would not be hesitant to let it take you to Windows 11. Bottom line is this is a terrific laptop computer!

Great upgrade from my Dell Inspiron with the older i7 chip and also touchscreen. The LG is light much fasters, has twice the storage, much bigger screen and coverts to a tablet (includes the stylus). Quality is very good, very easy to setup, and runs Windows 11. I bought a little docking station and converted my current setup of 2 32" curved monitors, keyboard, mouse, external drive, etc. in minutes. Since the power can plug into my docking station, I only have 1 USB-C plug to unplug and I am portable! So simple, and it handles the change between monitor configuration easily (from laptop only to desktop setup), my old computer would sometimes get confused and require a restart. Note that the 2-TB SSD drive is actually two 1-TB SSDs. Very pleased with this upgrade!

For personal use & not into games. Replacing an old PC so it appears to be very fast. Need & ordering an adapter to use existing attachments. Not a fan of the Stylus Pen, still a challenge to use it to cut/copy/paste & other tasks. Do like the duel hard drives for me & spouse. Battery does last a very long time.

I'd been waiting for a nice mobile touch screen laptop to replace my wife's aging Asus Q304UA. We wanted larger screen real estate, she still wanted touch screen, and I wanted number pad section for her. We didn't need discrete graphics as she doesn't game on it and all she uses graphics for is Plex, Netflix, Hulu, etc. We were not disappointed. The display is beautiful. Zero dead pixels, vibrant, and it a monster compared to the 13.3 Asus she is used to. It looks better than my Gigabyte Aero 15. The touch screen is responsive and accurate AND it came with a stylus pen. It has an 11th gen i7-1165G7 which is much faster than her previous 6th gen i5 on the asus. It has a whopping 2TB of speedy SSD NVMe storage and even has Thunderbolt 4 connectability. This laptop is amazing and you won't be disapppointed. We are no longer very mobile, so I can't attest to battery life, but it is reported to last up to 21 hours. That is insane! You won't be playing the latest/greatest games on it unless you connect an eGPU, but if you're looking for a VERY solid and great performing 2-1, this is it.

This is a great laptop for me. I am not a gamer nor am I a power user. It is plenty fast for me. If I had to come up with a gripe it would be that the camera will not work with Windows facial recognition. Also, the fingerprint reader is built into the power button and only recognizes my print occasionally. I do work with my hands a lot so my fingers are rough. It a bit irritating to have to use my pin every time. Still, I strongly recommend this laptop.

This laptop is amazingly slim. The remarkably fast speed of this computer, the long battery life, as well as the tremendous size of the hard drive are incredible especially given the price paid for the unit.

This is an excellent computer so far. Two complaints. Microsoft site comes on automatically when wireless connects. Second, the defaults for mouse are very sensitive, I.e. too quick to anticipate what it believes u r doing. Otherwise, great graphics and operation. Battery life is as stated in reviews.

Awesome, well equipped laptop for the price. I am not a fan of the stylus that came along with it (keep clicking the buttons while trying to write). That's the only drawback, and really not a laptop-related issue. Great value for the $.

I'm not a tech expert, so I haven't much to say about details, but the unit is amazingly light to carry around, and is blazingly fast at start-up, and at opening programs. The monitor is crisp and sharp. Battery life is excellent; I've worked straight through for 9 hours on occasion. It does have a glass surface that can be highly reflective in brightly lit rooms, but that is not an issue for me. It has a single old-style USB port and two newer ones. There is no universal photo chip port, but that problem was quickly solved by purchasing a $9 adaptor. Overall, I am very pleased 6 weeks in. No operating problems at so far.

I bought 3 of this laptop. The first one I bought, its bottom surface is not flat. One corner tilts up when when the screen is open. So I brought the machine to the store to return. The staff there said it had a wrapped case. So I retunred it and ordered a new machine. A few days later I received the second one, and it is exacly the one I returned last time!!!!!!! It was not repaired, just restocked and came back to market again. So I decided to return the second laptop after I buy the third one, so that I won't received this defect product. I WAS STUNNED WHEN I RECEIVED THE THIRD LAPTOP. Every thing else was fine but Its touch screen does not work!!! I guess bestbuy has a whole stock of defect machine to sell without repair. This series, however, is good, if it does not come with defects. It has a very long battery life, and the touch pad feels super good. Doesn't have much noise even when play games. The keyboard is not so comfortable, but it depends on what you favor.

This is my first two in one, it works as a laptop and as a tablet that I can write on with my finger. Being able to scroll with my finger is the time saver and I have less fatigue after working the same number of hours of screen time.
