LG - gram Pro Max 17" 144Hz Touch-Screen Gaming Laptop WQXGA Intel Core Ultra 9 Processor 386H, RTX 5050, 32GB RAM - 1TB SSD - Brushed Bronze Out of the box this is a surprisingly lightweight laptop for a 17” and is a very slim laptop weighing in at under 4 pounds. The Brushed Bronze finish gives the LG – gram a great look and seems to be fingerprint resistant. With all of the handling during unpackaging and setting up the LG Gram, there were no fingerprints visible on the exterior. Right side of the LG Gram has a Headphone out jack and (2) USB 3.2 Gen1 ports. It convenient having the (2) 3.2 Gen1 ports, gives you versatility with connecting devices. Left side of the LG Gram has a (1) HDMI port and (2) USB 4 Gen3x2 Type C (Thunderbolt 40 ports) for charging and Type C USB connections. The keyboard is standard and works well, being 17” is great for larger hands! The addition 10 key is nice when working with spreadsheets and a lot of numbers. The LG Gram has (2) fans that are generally very quiet. I heard the right-side fan one time and that was during the initial set up of the laptop. The LG Gram is crafted with Aerominum, Aerominum is an LG in-house engineered alloy designed to be tough yet light weight. The is no fingerprint reader which was a little disappointing however you can log-in with your pin number or facial recognition. The facial recognition is extremely accurate and fast. Start up was simple and easy, there is no clutter with additional unnecessary apps. All the basics are there making it quick to start up and begin using the LG Gram. Fast is an understatement with the LG Gram. Working with music playing, 11 spreadsheets running, multiple open internet sites (7 tabs), and multiple videos and photos open, the LG Gram never slowed down, it remained very quick and responsive. Also great for photo and video editing. The Dolby Atmos 3D Surround Sound is incredible with a great deal of adjustably to meet the sounds of your choosing. The videos and photos are displayed in high resolution. Great for sharp crisp images and beautiful videos and graphics. Excellent for multitasking, cannot say enough regarding the speed and versatility of the LG Gram. Handles multiple heavy applications simultaneously without faltering. If you like/use a touch screen you’ll find the IPS allows good touch screen abilities and at 17” large workspace. Being that the LG Gram can only be open to a certain degree I don’t find the touch screen a big advantage for me. I have one laptop that opens 360 and is great for using the touch screen capabilities. The LG Gram has rubber feet, won’t slide on table or countertop, remains extremely stable. The AI is simple and easy yet very precise and fun to work with, whether you are using AI to help with projects or just needing some quick answers to your questions. Carrying on a conversation with the AI is one of the things we thought were very futuristic however we now can and with amazing abilities. The LG Gram’s Dual AI apparently combines On-Device and Cloud AI. With the power supply unplugged, I ran a 15-hour day, closed the lid, started up the next day and still displayed 5+ hours of running time. Remember that I was running extreme programs/workloads during the biggest time of operation. LG Gram’s AI can help you find information quickly even when you are offline. There is another cool option and that is the recall button that can help you find, recall, recent website searches, documents, spreadsheets, etc. With the touch of a button a window will open with recent activities, even listed when you worked on them last and for how long. The LG Gram will take constant snap shots and hold them in a storage space. You can adjust how you want this function to work or you can shut it off, up to you. You can also adjust perimeters such as filtering what is “snapshot” by filtering apps and websites based on your wants/needs. You can manage this physically or verbally with AI assistance. Comes with layers of Windows hardware-based security, and I have used Windows for years of security with no issues to date. Refresh rates adapt from 31Hz to 144Hz which is incredible for fluid transitions, quick responses, and great video. LG gram Link is a cool feature for sharing files or in my case moved all my information off one laptop to the LG Gram during startup of the LG Gram. Remote Security with LG ThinQ With the LG ThinQ app downloaded to you phone you can remotely lock your LG gram and protect your data if your laptop is ever misplaced. Apparently, you can erase information off the LG Gram to help prevent anyone from accessing your information. And now a days with most of us using the cloud for storage, removing/deleting information from the LG Gram would not be much more than a little inconvenience. This would be a great relief knowing that no one would have access to your, personal information, files, photos, etc. There is so much to the new LG - gram Pro Max 17" 144Hz Touch-Screen Gaming Laptop WQXGA Intel Core Ultra 9 Processor 386H, RTX 5050, 32GB RAM - 1TB SSD that a person would spend weeks diving into all the abilities of this laptop.

I received my LG Gram Pro Max 17" laptop featuring a WQXGA touch screen, Windows 11 Home 64-bit, and powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 Series 3 Processor (386H). It comes equipped with 32GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050 dedicated graphics card. The packaging was tidy and included the owner's manual, warranty information, and accessory pamphlets. The power supply uses a USB-C to USB-C cable, with a USB-C port on the charger brick and a regular plug on the other end. Given its large screen size, I was impressed by how lightweight it is, weighing only 3.84 pounds, which makes it very portable. The metal casing in a striking Brushed Bronze finish feels much sturdier than previous plastic models and resists fingerprints effectively. The display is an IPS panel, complemented by a full keyboard with a numeric keypad. I particularly appreciate the comfortable spacing and tactile feel of the keys while typing. The laptop includes a backlit keyboard; however, the backlight is initially off and needs to be manually enabled via PC Maintenance Keyboard settings, where you can choose between low or high brightness, as well as configure timeout options. The touchpad exceeded my expectations in size and responsiveness, and the touch screen itself performs smoothly as well. Before beginning setup, I fully charged the device. During the process, several updates were installed. I opted for a new PC setup and selected Entertainment, Gaming and Creativity as my primary use cases, though the system offers many other options. It incorporates the latest AI enhancements and additional features. Audio quality on this laptop is exceptional, thanks to Dolby Atmos technology. When watching movies, the sound surrounds you so effectively that I found myself turning my head to follow it. I’m not sure how LG achieved this immersive experience, but it definitely works. Testing sound across various platforms like YouTube, films, and the Singsnap website yielded consistently impressive results. No lag in any of the videos, games or streaming shows I chose. Stayed connected to my WiFi without a hitch as well. LG also provides LG CHANNELS, which offers access to Live TV, News, Movies, Drama, Entertainment, Sports, Comedy, and Lifestyle content, adding extra value. Another standout aspect is the near absence of fan noise ~ quite remarkable for a laptop this large and a relief to my ears! Temperature management is excellent, as the laptop remains cool even under heavy use and during updates. I checked the bottom frequently, finding it pleasantly cool to the touch ~ an advantage over many other laptops I have owned. Additionally, this model is Energy Star certified. In summary, LG has delivered an outstanding product. This is, without a doubt, the best laptop I own. Though it comes with a premium price tag, the superior build quality and features make it thoroughly worthwhile. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a top-tier laptop!

This laptop is seriously impressive. The LG Gram Pro Max (GPM, Gram etc.) packs impressive specs into a very small package. I did some research on the 386H CPU included in this laptop and found that it is one of the newest chips Intel has released this year with excellent power. The GPU is a RTX 5050 that is labeled as a lower end gaming card. With the Gram having a top tier CPU, this laptop is about as good as you would want for a non gaming laptop. LG also put in 32 GB of RAM with a 1 TB SSD which should be adequate for use with the GPM. I did some testing on the RTX 5050 just to see what the entry level laptop can do. I have included some pictures I took off my monitor at a resolution of 1440, however the Gram can go to 1600 resolution by default. Funny enough, playing most games on a widescreen monitor will fit better at 1440. I booted up Cyberpunk 2077 not expecting much at all, but was blown away by just how good the game looked running on the RTX 5050. Judge yourself on the pictures I have taken. The 5050 seems like it can handle all but the newest games really. While I was overall very impressed by the performance, this does come at a cost, a rather hefty one, especially with the volatility in building RAM this year. This means that LG priced this at around $2500. Ouch. With this price, LG might be pricing this out of reach for most college students for example. If you do decide on this specific Gram Pro, you won’t be disappointed in the long run. I do recommend this laptop overall. Top of the line specs with an equally expensive price tag, this feels more on the premium side of laptops. I plan on having this for many years in the future, so I for one am very pleased.

LG - gram Pro Max 17 144Hz Touch-Screen Gaming Laptop WQXGA Summary: A performant portable gaming capable laptop. Use: The primary reason for the LG Gram selection is that it is extremely mobile. It is ridiculously light for the hardware packed inside. It allows us to take it wherever we need to get some game time in. :) Having said that, its substantially better specifications also allow me to execute more traditional workloads for my profession. For example, the extra RAM and modestly larger disk allow for me to setup lab virtual environments for testing software. But the RAM and CPU help most for its regular use - games where GPU aren't yet a bottleneck. Older games like World of Warcraft, for instance. This unit is replacing an aging MSI gaming laptop operating with a 1080P display and RTX4050, Ryzen 5/16GB processor and RAM. As we use the MSI to primarily play games like Hogwarts, Destiny 2, and World of Warcraft - comparisons are mostly defined by the same uses. We have attached a 4K display to it for use and that alters the calculus somewhat - so we're still navigating the tweaks. Since this unit is so light, let's start there. It's something over 3 pounds! That doesn't seem like much or a little until you pick up virtually any other laptop in our household. Alienware, MSI, ASUS, Samsung (is dang close!). The Gram might make you think that its weight truly is its namesake. Bundling all of this hardware so tightly into a shell has some implications, though. One of our concerns was airflow and heat dissipation. The unit has micro perforations along its base and a ridge vent in between the top edge of the keyboard and the base of the display. This allows it to pull in air from the bottom and expel it from the top. I think this could be dangerous for folks that actually use their machines as lap tops. :) But we use them on flat surfaces, or ventilated surfaces. When used like this, the unit performs well and heat dissipation doesn't seem to be an issue. Prolonged gaming sessions, particularly at 4K maximum settings, can change that and you'll eventually hear the active cooling spin up to do its job. With a intel Core 9 and 32 GB of RAM you have what I think should be a new baseline for minimums. Enough CPU to do heavier daily workloads (professionally, local AI, etc.) and the RAM to run more programs simultaneously. For games, this just boils down to better performance. The 1TB SSD, while *minimally* sized, is enough to get a selection of games installed and combined with CPU and RAM startup pretty danged fast. The GPU is a NVidia RTX5050. It is a mobile GPU is targeted at midrange gamers like us. Due to the display differences between other household laptops, and even the 4K external (plus other hardware differences), I couldn't measure the performance differences directly. However, we did see frame rates generally improve when we moved to the LG Gram. For CPU limited games like WoW, this is because of the CPU, for games like Destiny 2, the newer RTX5050 the primary driver. For the 4K external display, we noticed slightly improved frame rates at maximum settings for various games. But we're only talking about 10 or so FPS. Scaling down display resolution, or game settings can wildly impact performance and that is what we're still learning to tweak. On paper, the RTX5050 can offer up to a 40%-80% improvement to the RTX4050. But in practice, with the settings and resolutions we'll use, I think we're going to see a more modest 10-20%. Build quality is exceptional. We've owned/own several LG appliances, computers, displays, and even home theatre projectors over the years. Their products feature top not engineering and performance. This unit feels substantial, but not in a bulky burdensome way. It feels good to hold. But it is lightweight. The screen finish is glossy (I can't decide how I feel about these types of screens!), and touchpad and keyboard feel appropriately sized for the unit. The keyboard isn't full sized, but keys are arranged in a way that almost makes it seem as if it is. The touch screen remains a novelty in our home for laptops. If this were a tablet, I'd say it is excellent. It is responsive and performs well. However, its form factor makes it unlikely that we'll use the touchscreen regularly. Despite the supremely svelte form factor, the unit does offer an array of connectivity options: 2x USB-C (Thunderbolt 4) ports, 2x USB-A 3.x, HDMI, headphone, Bluetooth 5.4+, and 2.5Gb Wi-Fi 7 capable wireless networking. While we'll miss the RJ-45 port, it isn't a deal breaker, and with the Thunderbolt ports, we can connect any array of devices we want (including RJ-45) using our peripheral (Thunderbolt/ USB-C) docks. This unit also responds flawlessly to the external 4K display in mirror, extend, or secondary display only modes. We haven't had issues with sleep mode or even janky issues with DisplayPort Alt Mode. This mode allows the laptop's discreet GPU to drive the external display (vs. dock chipset which would be terrible for games). Pros: * LIGHT WEIGHT! * Performance. Despite its form factor, the performance of this unit is fantastic. It is quiet, keeps cool, and allows us to play games while mobile even easier than before. * Specifications. This unit doesn't sacrifice too much for its form factor or price point. It packs a punch with its processor, GPU, memory, connectivity options, and display. The unit also drives an external 4K display just fine - though for maximum settings on games we have to throttle back a few settings for an acceptable frame rate. This would be an issue for most laptops in this range. * Keyboard/Mouse. The keyboard and mouse on the unit are adequately sized and almost offer a full-sized keyboard experience. Actually, depending on what kind of keyboard you already use - it may be "full sized." :D This means transitioning to it will be trivial. Cons: * Cost. This is really a non-issue for me - but I want to acknowledge that it could be for some. There are competing products that can get you more gaming for the buck, but the tradeoff is quality, brand trust, and portability. I can see cost being an issue for midrange gamers that care about gaming first and foremost. But if you use your laptops for work, other productivity needs, local AI work, virtual labs, etc., then the calculus changes turning this into a good buy.

The LG Gram Pro Max 17" packs quiet a lot of power in a sleek package. Crossing this on the store shelves you wouldn't be able to tell it's powered with an Intel Core Ultra 9, RTX5050 and 32GB of RAM. The WQXGA IPS screen has a 31-144Hz Variable Refresh Rate is also a Touch Screen. In the box, you get a reasonably sized 140W Fast Charger, which connects to the laptop over a USB-C to C cable, plus some information and manuals neatly packages inside. On the left side of the laptop, you have 2 x USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports (You can plug the charger in to either one) plus an HDMI 2.1 port. On the right side you have a head phone jack along side 2 x USB-A 3.2 ports. The brushed bronze finishes adds a touch of style to the laptop, once opened you're presented with the beautiful touchscreen and massive touchscreen, both of which are multitouch allowing you to pinch to zoom or scroll on both. The keyboard also features a 10 key, which I appreciate, there is also no speaker grills around the keyboard keeping the look clean. First thing I did after setting up Windows 11, which is Home Copilot+, was install steam and some games along side my Windows, graphics and various other updates. While running updates, I was looking at the various shortcuts on the keyboard. There are the usual Brightness, volume and even backlit FN on the F- keys, there is also a dedicated Copilot key. One other shortcut I noticed was pressing the FN and Spacebar together brought up the Gram Chat On-Device, this AI doesn't only help you search for information, it can also help you adjust settings, find files on the machine based on variables you present or even help you troubleshoot your device! I used it to help make a few changes to windows that fit my preference, I also like that Gram Chat can execute the changes for you, not simply provide the how to or open a window for you to make the change yourself saving you from having to dig through settings. With the size and weight of this laptop, you almost forget it has the power to game! I have been on Forza Horizon 6 most of the time I game since it released, with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050 I had no problem gaming for hours on this machine. I eventually adjusted the power settings to provide best performance while plugged in and Balanced on Battery. Initially I was running completely on Balanced keeping a steady frame rate on Medium settings at 2560x1600, I am going to play again tonight seeing how it differs on Performance, with my experience this far, I only expect it to do better! The laptop speakers are located on the bottom left and right side, during my setup and installation I played some music on them, even at full blast they're perfectly listenable but I always keep them turned down a touch. As I was chatting on discord and playing the Forza, I had my headset on. Overall the laptop is amazing! I have simply been enjoying it at home but looking forward to take this on the road shortly during summer. LG did an amazing job, the combination of weight, size and power create a wonderful gaming and multitasking experience!

I’ve used 17” laptops before, and they are typically on the heavier side. Then here comes the LG - gram Pro Max. This is the lightest 17” laptop I have used. The fact that LG managed to pack a lot of high-end hardware into this is seriously impressive. Although the gram Pro Max does have its flaws. I will cover both pros and cons in this review. This is my review of the LG – gram Pro Max 17” Touch Screen Gaming Laptop. *TLDR at the bottom ========= IN THE BOX/SET-UP: The box is simple and includes a 140W power supply, a power cable, a USB-C to USB-C cable, and some documentation. Setup is straightforward. It is your typical Windows 11 out-of-the-box experience. I recommend charging the laptop before going through setup, as mine was on the lower end when I turned it on. I typically go through the laptop and delete any bloatware or apps I won’t ever use before setting up my stuff. There were some bloatware apps like McAfee and some LG apps. I decided to keep some of the LG apps because I wanted to try them out. But I did uninstall the LG xboom buds app, which is used for LG’s earbuds. I wish there were an option to install some of these LG apps during setup because there are too many installed. ========= DESIGN/SPECS: In terms of design, one of the first items I noticed was how lightweight and thin the gram Pro Max is. It has a sleek, brushed bronze look. The material used for the chassis is something called Aerominum, which is a proprietary aluminum-magnesium alloy that LG created. Now, how durable is this material? According to LG, it is “military-grade” durable. I can’t verify how durable this device is without putting it through stress tests, but it does feel high quality, and if I were to drop the laptop, it would probably be fine. Being 17”, the laptop has a large trackpad and keyboard. The downside to a trackpad of this size is that I sometimes accidentally click it. But the touchpad can be disabled in settings if one desires. The keyboard is backlit, but it doesn’t get too bright. Luckily, the lighting is sufficient if you work mostly in dark areas. In terms of ports, the laptop has all the essentials: 2 USB-A ports, 1 AUX, 2 USB-C ports, and 1 HDMI port. One of the best features is the display. It is a 3k IPS display with a brightness of up to 400 nits. It looks great in most areas, but it does struggle in brightly lit areas. In these areas, there is a considerable amount of glare. But it being an IPS display, the screen can be viewed from any angle without the colors being washed out, and it does have touchscreen capabilities, if needed. Below are some of the computer’s internal hardware specs: CPU: Intel Core Ultra 9 386H GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 Memory: 32GB Storage: 1 TB SSD NIC: Intel Wi-Fi 7 BE211 ========= PERFORMANCE: I was able to use the gram Pro Max in a variety of situations over the past couple of days. I work with plenty of technical applications daily and was able to stress test some of the business capabilities there. The marketing for the gaming capabilities of this laptop is very minimal. I mostly used it in an office setting, but I still tried some games to see how it performs in that space. I was also able to watch a couple of movies and live events. Finally, I ran several benchmark software programs. I will first cover the benchmark software. The first one I ran was 3D Mark. This was used to test out the laptop’s gaming capabilities. PC Mark was used to test out the computer’s capabilities with modern office applications like Word, video conferencing software, web browsing, data processing, etc. Cinebench was used to test out the computer’s CPU rendering, and CanYouRunIt was used to see what percentage of the most popular games the computer could run at minimum and recommended requirements. The scores for these benchmark applications can be seen below. 3DMark Graphics Score: 6357 CPU Score: 12492 Time Spy Score: 6862 PCMark10 Overall Score: 7844 *Individual scores for a specific application in the PC Mark image Cinebench GPU: 32101 CPU (Multiple Threads): 3665 CPU (Single Thread): 467 CanYouRunIt CYRI Score Min: 100% CYRI Score Rec: 97% *This score is the percentage of games your computer can run at the minimum and recommended requirement levels. Most benchmarks ran fine the first time. The benchmark that I had trouble running successfully was 3DMark. The software would not detect the laptop’s specs. After some research, I determined that System Info needed to be reinstalled. As soon as this was done, the benchmarks for 3DMark were successful. The 3DMark benchmarks tell me that this laptop can handle games well. During my testing, games ran perfectly fine. On BF6, at 2k resolution, I was averaging about 65 FPS, which is decent but not great. On Pragmata, I was able to get about 70 FPS on medium settings, and with DLSS on, the performance was slightly better, averaging about 80 FPS. Overall, this laptop can be used as a gaming laptop that should be able to run the most popular games at recommended settings, but don’t expect anything amazing. This device excels with office and work applications. Any web browsing, office app, and technical app like VS Code, they all opened quickly and ran exceptionally well. I don’t use any creative applications very much besides some light photo editing, video editing, and rendering. But this laptop can handle these tasks well too. Comparing these PCMark10 results to those of some other devices, this laptop significantly outperforms a gaming laptop from 2023. Additionally, this laptop is great for multitasking. I can run any app concurrently without anything slowing down. As for running LLMs locally, the only one I was able to test is the gram chat app, which comes preinstalled. It ran well for the most part, but looking through its features, it appears to be a Copilot clone (e.g., LG’s Time Travel, Microsoft’s Recall). This is also a Copilot + PC, which means Copilot can run locally. As for which one is better? I didn’t get to do a side-by-side comparison, but this device does seemingly handle running LLM’s locally fine. ========= FEATURES/OTHER NOTES: The following lists some features and other notes about the gram Pro Max: - Battery life is great, lasted about two days of light usage (mostly web browsing and office apps) - The battery does deplete significantly when running highly demanding apps. I recommend leaving the device plugged in when possible - Many LG apps are preinstalled, some more useful than others - Some LG apps require mobile apps to function (e.g., LG gram link requires a mobile app) - The laptop is quiet, even when running demanding apps (there is a noticeable increase in fan speed and noise, but it's not overwhelming) - The device has great thermal management; some devices tend to get too hot (even to the touch), but this one appears to displace heat well - The built-in speakers are better than average, not the best I’ve used, but significantly better than most - I love how the laptop is not a fingerprint magnet like some other high-end devices, which makes everything easier to clean ========= CONCLUSION/TLDR: Overall, the gram Pro Max is an excellent device. It can do everything you need it to do. From web browsing to running games on medium settings, this laptop can do it all. It especially runs office and business applications extremely well. I was able to multitask without any issues. Having the large 17” screen certainly helped with this too. Some minor flaws are the trackpad, which can accidentally be clicked due to its placement and size. The display, while it is nice and can be viewed from any angle without the color washing out, struggles in brightly lit areas due to screen glare. But if you are looking for a high-performing laptop and can brush these flaws away, certainly try out the gram Pro Max!

LG Gram Pro AI 17 Things I really like - Large touchpad that is very sensitive - Full size keyboard with great backlighting that is pretty consistent over the whole board - Two USB-C and two USB-A ports allow lots of connections without adding adapters - Full size HDMI port - SILENT operation under most conditions - Cool case even without loud fans - Very light machine, despite its 17” screen - Fast CPU handles everything I’ve thrown at it so far - Beautiful screen with great resolution to match its color and brightness - Case color looks very nice and doesn’t grab fingerprints like some finishes do - USB-C power cord rated at 140W runs cool, isn’t too large and has a cord out each end so it doesn’t hang from the outlet Things I could do without - Stickers and stickers and… another sticker! This is a premium laptop so why all the advertisements on it from the factory? - At this price, there is NO excuse to ship with Windows Home! - The screen is very flexible - I know it has to be thin and light but I am constantly using both hands just to open it since it flexes so much with just one hand! Thanks I’m not sure about - All of the LG-branded apps added to the build - It would be nice to have a second USB-C port on the charger I have had several premium laptops over the years, from my trusty Dell XPS 17 (that still runs and I keep because of the BluRay burner), several ASUS ROG and TUF gaming laptops, a Dell G7 (that I normally use for everything) and others. They all seem to have one thing or another that just leaves you scratching your head. This LG is similar, although the list of those kinds of things is very short. It seems to hit almost every need without even breaking a sweat. I haven’t gotten into much gaming with this laptop yet, but it has been a great machine for a “power user” if they still use that term! The processor has been running cool and at low usage with everything I have done and the M.2 storage is very fast in real-world use. I have never had an LG laptop before and wasn’t quite sure what to expect but am very happy with this one and look forward to using it as my main machine going forward. While the price is a bit daunting, it is a very nice all-around machine and is incredibly light and thin considering the muscle inside. I plan on using this to drive a second monitor and a large TV for a classroom and look forward to the ability to unhook it and take it with me when I need to be on the move. The battery life appears to be great and so should last through long meetings without needing to find an outlet to charge. BTW... I am sitting at the kitchen table writing this review on the LG because the screen is just so great! I haven't turned on my "regular" laptop in a few days since I got this!

After using the LG gram Pro Max 17 for about a week, I can already say it's one of the most comfortable laptops I've owned. Mine has the Intel Core Ultra processor and the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 GPU, along with 32GB of RAM and a fast SSD, and it's handled everything I've thrown at it without slowing down. I mostly use it for multitasking, photo editing, streaming, work, and some gaming, and it hasn't struggled once. Programs open quickly, files transfer fast, and switching between apps feels smooth even when I've got a lot running at the same time. The hardware feels very balanced overall. The 17 inch display gives me plenty of room to work without making the laptop feel oversized. The screen looks sharp and bright, colors look natural, and movies and videos look excellent. The RTX 4050 graphics have also been great for creative programs and gaming. Games run smoothly at good settings, and editing photos and videos feels much faster than it did on my older laptop. Combined with the fast processor and memory, everything just feels quick and responsive during daily use. I was honestly curious about the included LG software before buying it because a lot of laptops come loaded with programs that just get in the way. Thankfully that hasn't been the case here. LG AI and the other LG apps have actually been useful. I like having battery settings, performance modes, updates, and system controls all in one place. LG Ai is simple to use and doesn't feel confusing or overly complicated. The software experience has felt clean and organized so far. The sound quality surprised me too. For such a thin and light laptop, the speakers sound clear and fairly full. Voices are easy to understand during meetings and videos, music sounds balanced, and the volume gets loud enough for movies without needing external speakers. Fan noise has also been pretty reasonable. During regular work it's usually quiet, and even under heavier loads it hasn't become distracting. The biggest surprise is still the weight. For a 17 inch laptop with dedicated Nvidia graphics, it's incredibly light. It's very easy to carry and it doesn't feel bulky in a backpack or while using it on my lap. The slim design and darker finish also give it a clean and professional look without trying too hard to stand out. Battery life has been solid during my first week as well, especially considering the large display and RTX graphics card. I can comfortably get through most of a workday without stressing about charging it constantly. Overall, it feels fast, lightweight, polished, and very well designed. After a week of daily use, I'm genuinely happy with the purchase and can already tell it's going to be a laptop I'll keep using for a long time.

What a Big Beautiful Beast! My wife uses a smaller LG Gram that we got several years ago and she absolutely loves how light it is. I was “OK” with it but I like bigger screens and higher refresh rates. Enter the LG Gram Pro Max 17. I’m due for a laptop upgrade, saw this, and jumped at the chance to combine a large display with optimally thin and light hardware, and this does not disappoint. The two obvious attractions here are the display, and the weight. The display. Just beautiful. The 144hz refresh rate makes a not-so-subtle difference in how solid the display looks, and the HDR display combined with the high refresh rate makes text, colors, graphics, and videos amazingly vivid and clear. It’s truly stunning. The light weight is a bonus too, as I spend a lot of time with the laptop literally on my lap top or in a backpack, both of which factor… heavily… in a light way. Suffice to say it’s deceptively light for its size. I’m already getting used to it, but if I go back and pick up my previous large screen laptop the difference is, again, not subtle. The keyboard is a mix. It feels very good to type on but it’s also noisier and poppy-er than my previous laptop. I personally love how it feels and even sounds but my wife not so much and she mentioned “boy that’s kinda noisy” the very first night I had it out. The touchpad is correspondingly large and I do find myself sometimes accidentally “palm clicking” which moves the cursor somewhere I’m not expecting in the middle of while I’m typing. Absolutely not a deal breaker, just that your mileage will vary depending on what you’re used to. Gaming performance with Geforce 5050 RTX Laptop GPU is good but not world shattering, which for me as a casual gamer is just fine and strikes a good balance of capability with cost. The 144hz display helps it milk as much performance out of what it has as possible. If you press and hold the FN key for just a couple of seconds there’s a handy utility menu that pops up, of which one option is “PC Cleaning Mode” which disables the touchpad, keyboard, and touchscreen so you can wipe it down without randomly sending input. The only keys that still work in cleaning mode are FN+L which you have to hold for a few seconds to exit cleaning mode. Overall it’s very pleasant to use, even rewarding. As a casual gamer who loves large screen laptops I consider this an outstanding value of an upgrade and could hardly be happier.

The LG gram Pro Max 17" 144Hz Touch-Screen Gaming Laptop WQXGA Intel Core Ultra 9 Processor 386H, RTX 5050, 32GB RAM - 1TB SSD is a great laptop so far. I have not put it through the grinder yet, but I have used it quite a bit for various things, from vibe coding to a few simple games, and so far I’m very happy with the performance. The touch screen is nice and convenient if you choose to use it (I never tend to use them). However, everything else that is paired on this beautiful machine is wonderful. It does everything I need it to do and so much more without a problem. I’m able to run multiple programs, virtual machines, and browse the web without having to worry about performance issues. The display is very vibrant as well. The charging adapter is a typical USB-C, which is great, also makes for a small portable laptop, versus many other brick chargers. Overall, the laptop is great, and the functionality is wonderful. It can do everything you need it to do and so much more. It has a beautiful and sleek design, even with having the 10 key is is quite small and lightweight.
