The phone gets really hot while doing regular task, the screen looks good but has an over sharpening effect that's really noticeable with black text over white or grey backgrounds. Call quality is excellent, it supports volte, the ear piece is very loud and clear. The loud speaker is located on back. It does get pretty loud but the sound has no clarity with no bass. LG for some reason has also disabled or removed the equalizer feature in this phone. You have to download one from the play store. The front camera is really grainy and blurry and it can never take clear focused shots. Even when you have decent lightning, the photos still look pretty bad for a 5MP camera. You have to try several times to get a good shot. I've seen much better 5MP camera's with the same specs. And you can forget about using it for social media selfies. It sucks pretty bad on the Snapchat, Instagram and even the Facebook camera The back camera is okay but only in good lightning and sometimes it also takes soft, blurry out of focus pictures. Even though it has 13 MP camera. I've seen other phones with the same aperture and setups but they take much better pictures. Video recording is decent and it does have EIS. 1080p video comes out decent but struggles to stay in focus at times and colors can look a little dull with a yellow tint. Surprisingly, the video recording on this phone seems to be better than the actual picture taking quality. LG can fix these little issues with a software update. But overall, the phone is a good buy if love the 18:9 full screen display which is similar to the more expensive Galaxy S8 and LG G6. It has beautiful design, well built, metal sides and I got the beautiful platinum color. The Snapdragon 435 processor with 3 GB of RAM has beem optimized pretty good by LG on this device. It's faster than my Nokia 6 and memory management seems to be good. It runs every HD game ok and it runs every app smoothly. It has quick charge 2.0, it takes about 1 hr and 30 mins to charge. It's has a 3000 may battery. Battery life has been good, 5 hours SOT. The heating issues and camera quality issues needs to be addressed quickly. Only then can I suggest this beautiful piece of hardware for others to purchase at this price point. But at 300$, you do have much better choices. Hopefully LG pushes out an update real soon. The november security patch or the Android 8.0 update.

I am disappointed after I received this product; Q6 does not have native Android interface but a LG user interface between Android 7.x and the users. This made this device not able to receive latest Android software updates right away. The LG interface is really not necessary other than for LG to collect and control user data and user experience. I will not buy any device without native Android OS from google. Manufacturers' own user interface only adds costs to their device and prevents wider acceptance.
