i bought this to go with my new LG 5.0 cf front load washer...so glad i did! its perfect for small loads...great for items with spills, or smells (like gym clothes.) i throw my husbands sweaty golf clothes in, instead of waiting for days for a full load. between the two washers, my laundry gets done in almost half the time!! it comes with the hose and adapter needed to install; the Best Buy installers knew exactly what to do. they had it in and going in a matter of minutes!!

We have had the sidekick for about two months and we love it. It is great for those items that you forgot to put in the main wash. Great for active wear. We are cyclists and our cycle clothing all fits in the unit which requires a gentle wash. My wife loves it for her lingerie. We are extremely happy with our purchase.

Love Product but Installation a nightmare

I bought what I thought would be a dream washer and dryer setup but the delivery and installation was a nightmare. 8 installers came out and all 8 refused to do the install. Some unpacked than walked off citing liability issues. The last crew never even showed up. In the end, I had to install it myself. I am in love with the setup and bought a new LG Refrigerator and dishwasher but not through BestBuy. I dont think I will ever buy appliances again from them.

We purchased this when we found out that we were having a baby. As a parent, washing baby’s clothes or burpy cloth can be an issue because it ends up in their mouth. So, we decided to get this only for the baby. It’s just a piece of mind, but I definitely feel great using it just for the baby stuff. It washes even dirty burpy clothes very well, and even thought it’s small, it’s pretty powerful!

I was not sure we wanted this, but have used it multiple times in the last week! It’s great when the primary washer is being used and someone in your family (not saying it’s our teenage daughter) needs to wash something immediately!!!! It’s quick and cleans great!

Convenient to use to wash a smaller load of Landry. Works fine. Pedestal washer was easy to setup and includes splitter for the hot, cold and water discharge. Simple washer.

I can't tell you how much I love it! This was a genius design and execution of a really great idea! I use it alot for my elderly dog's stinky diapers that I want to keep isolated from the general wash. Love having 2 washes going at once!

It should be 0 stars. Never worked. PE error. Out of warranty, so LG won't fix it. Pedestal washer is a gimmick. It may have a 10 year motor warranty, seems that is simply do to it not running.

I have an active family of six and we always have small loads of laundry from sports or other activities that aren't worth running by themselves in the larger washer. The LG pedestal washer is exactly what we needed and allows us to wash those small loads or other items that you don't want to throw into the larger machine. The machine is very quiet and does a great job of getting the clothes clean. The only variable to consider is that you may only have two outlets available for the washer and dryer, and adding this pedestal washer will require one more outlet.

This is an absolute must have for anyone with kids, pets, or just about anyone! When i first looked at the sidekick i said I would never spend the extra money to have it. Then i decided to look at how much money a plain storage pedestal would be. During the memorial day sale, it was only $100 more for the sidekick! It was a no brainier. So make sure you keep an eye out for a sale because thats the time to purchase! Install:The install was quick and easy with detailed directions. You will use the existing water lines and just use the included water splitter to split water lines into two. This only took about 15 minutes to install. Operation: The operation of the sidekick is very easy. It only has a couple buttons with the most common settings. I have washed towels and clothes in this with positive results. The run time is about 35 minutes however uses a lot less water then the standard washing machine. You can't even tell the machine is running when its on. Im very satisfied with this purchase

Great little addition to washer to increase washing capacity. Works as expected and described. Very quiet and efficient. Cleans small items at the same time as big washer if needed and desired. Only downside is that you need to leave the drawer open for a little while to let the remaining moisture evaporate.

We purchased this as part of a complete set washer, dryer, storage pedestal and this sidekick after our previous machine (GE) died at only 3 years old and repair parts were back ordered for at least 3 weeks so we did not spend a lot of time researching like we usually would for this type of purchase and so far we do not regret it at all. I love that I can toss a small load in while still getting the rest of the laundry done in the larger machine. Pros 1. Small loads have their own machine now so laundry is done in half the time and no more waiting to build up enough laundry for a large load 2. The settings choices are perfect for the types of loads I run in it so far 3. Loads run through within 47 minutes some settings are faster 4. Fabric softener reminder chime 5. Nice loud chime when cycle is done Cons 1. Limited settings, which has worked for us so far but who knows in the future. It would be nice to be able to adjust water temperature. 2. Buttons are low so little fingers are constantly turning machine on, thankfully you can lock the rest of the panel just not the power button 3. No fabric softener dispenser or detergent dispenser you need to manually add the fabric softener when the machine chimes about 13 minutes before the end of the cycle and be aware of where you add detergent so you don’t wind up with extra soapy clothes. 4. Took about 4 empty cycles to get a very strong chemical/oil smell out of machine before I could actually use it to wash clothes. 5. Low to the ground so it is a bit of bending and digging to get washed clothes out especially little items like baby socks Overall we would purchase again and find it was worth the money for us and our life styles. The two things I would change about it if I could would be detergent and fabric softener dispensers in the machine and the ability to adjust water temperature.

Happy with Product, Best Buy Policies Not So Much

It took three tries before we got this Pedestal Washer installed. On the second round, the Sidekick arrived damaged and was returned to the store. I was not happy about not being able to get things moving on a new delivery date until the damaged item had been returned to the store and checked in that night (Friday night, so probably Monday before a new delivery would be scheduled). Thinking outside the box, I went into the store and bought another Sidekick and instructed Best Buy to simply mark the damaged one as returned. The Sidekick was installed uneventfully, but the damaged one that was returned was not accounted for as returned. So, I was billed for two Sidekicks. Reaching Best Buy by phone had repeatedly proved to be a massively frustrating experience, so I, again, went into the store to deal with the problem. After repeatedly confirming that I didn't actually have two Sidekicks at my house, the Customer Service person took care of the return. Eventually, the duplicate charge was reversed off of my Best Buy credit card. To sum up, we really like the LG appliances we bought, but when things don't go according to plan, Best Buy policies seem to make the problem worse, rather than better. All I got was repetitions of policy, rather than dealing with the problem I presented -- I didn't want the weekend to pass before our new (third) deliver date could be scheduled.

This small and very efficient washing machine has made doing laundry so much easier than ever. I can wash my sportswear separately and at the same time as a regular load of laundry is being done. It’s perfetc for my delicates and my hand wash items as well. Also great for a small load of regular clothes as well. I just love it!

So far so good. This machine is quiet and allows me to wash two loads at once. So far i have used it for my delicates and it works well. The only issue i had was the best buy installers did not level it. So the first time i ran it, it carried itself with my front loader across the room. I definitely would recommend balancing. Afterwards it worked great. The one draw back is it doesn’t have wifi so you dont get push notifications like you do with the front loader washer and dryer.

Seriously, this machine is amazing. I can not believe that it is not the standard for every laundry room to have one. It is so convenient and functional that I can never go back to a washer without one. It was crazy seeing so many hoses hooked up with the entirety of the compatible steam dryer and washer/washer pedestal, but they all work well together. It was well worth the expense and has raised the bar for what I would consider to be a great laundry room set up. If you are on the fence about it, seriously just treat yourself because you deserve nice things. :)

This is a very understated machine. I use this as an apartment machine. It easily fits under my fridge (ok this is deffinetly not how lg intends it to be used) and can fit an entire sheet set! The mutiple setting are great and i love the gentle cycle which has been great in my knits and delicate fabrics. Its quiet and does not shake the floors, an awesome feature most lg machines have. I have had no issues with clogging or odours and have used this machine regularly for a year now. Hook up was super easy and the call in phone feature is fantastic! Now if only lg would make a matching dryer...
