The sound quality of this product is very poor. Although they are very nice to look at, once you connect them to your phone your party can hear all noises in your background better than they can hear you.

    Much better than expected

I was looking for a nice bluetooth earbuds to use when walking and traveling. I looked at many options including Bose, Beats, Jaybird, and LG. At first I didn't think I would like the style of the LG as it seems a little strange to have a "necklace" on, however, I really liked the earbuds themselves as they are much more comfortable than the other brands. I actually found the LG to be even more discreet than I expected with the necklace easily hidden beneath your collar or under your shirt. It is so light you don't even notice it. I also looked at the LG910 but decided on the 1100 for the improved sound. I never tried the 910 so not sure if the sound is actually better, but the price difference was so small I just went for it. I've had these for about a month and have got a lot of use out of them for both walking and business trips. Sound quality is excellent. They work great for phone calls from my iPhone. I really appreciated their sound quality and flexibility on the airplane. I recently had several 12 hour flights and I had no issue with them. I used them for over 8 hours without having to recharge. It was especially nice to walk around the plane untethered to my iPhone and still able to listen to my music and audiobooks. I'm not sure how these would do for extensive workouts in the gym or running as the necklace bouncing around probably would be annoying. For walking, no issues.

When I first purchased these 2 pair, they worked great. After less than 2 months they both started to go out and fall apart. Poor product.

    Great sound-Bad quality build

I am on my second set and have had the same issue with both pair. The small wire that feeds the earpiece develops connection issues until the earpiece no longer works. After I had the first issue with the earpiece I made sure not to let the earpiece snap back when retracting but the same problem still developed on the new pair. I also had an issue in the middle of the headset where the rubber attaches to the hard plastic. After a few short months it came loose and I had to superglue it back together. So, the sound quality of this headset is great but it has some quality build issues. Since both pair had the same issue within a year each they are not worth $200.00.

It was alright, but didn't last...

I bought this headset about 4 months ago. It had considerable problems associated with connecting to my Dell Windows 10 computer, although it connected without issue to my android tablet and phone. I had to remove and reinstall it every time I wanted to use it, however, about a week ago i got a popup stating that I needed to restart my computer for changes to take effect right after I installed the headset again. This was new, and it appears that the bluetooth connection is working properly now. Unfortunately, the right ear bud has been making a strange rhythmic popping noise for a week or two now, regardless of whether there was any sound being played through the speaker, and it stopped working altogether yesterday. I have always been careful to pull out the bud by pulling on the bud itself, and not popping it out of my ear by the cord, but I am unsure what else might have caused the speaker to fail. I tried to submit a repair ticket on their website, but I get to a certain point and the screen starts to shift around, keeping me from being able to finalize the repair request. I have experienced this while using the Edge, Firefox and Chrome browsers, and never seen the issue on any other sites. I have also reached out to LG via email twice now, and I have not received a reply. Of course I checked my spam box too, but it appears that there are no replies to be found. So, in a nutshell, I am not terribly impressed. Now it looks like I dropped $150 on what was a decent (but not spectacular) sounding headset that is only half working after only a few months of use. I knew I should have bought that extended warranty. Or a different headset.

Best of my 3 LG headphones...

Definitely the best of my 3 LG wraparound headphones. Love the feel, fit and sound. First pair was the Tone Pro, and they got me hooked on the LG's. Next pair was the Tone Infinim and they were a huge disappointment. Now have theses and couldn't be happier. No contest in sound quality. Don't wear them all the time, only for 6 mi or more walks. Could not be happier and made me of champion of the Infinim line again.

Great sound but earphone wires too weak

I have had many LG wireless headphones over the years. Love LG style and convenience. I have had this pair for over 4 months now and I use them everyday ( multiple times per day). These sound great, look good, and very comfortable. My complaint with these is with the retractable wires for earbuds. I always use left side for phone. Recently the wire has become broken or cracked. Earphone will cut out if you move wire connecting earbud. I am sure this is from pulling out earbud for use. IMO it is due to wires too flimsy and small to be pulled upon. 4-5 months is extremely short lifespan for the price.

I read reviews, watched reviews, etc. For $200 I was careful about the purchase. I had a set of Klipsh earphones that I was going to compare these against. I bought the Tone Ultra first and recognized right away that they were not going to compare to a wired set of good earphones.(in the ear canal type) Wasn't impressed with the quality of the phone side of it either.Took these back to Walmart.(in excellent shape). Then I read that the Samsung G5 takes full advantage of the Tone Platinum because it has the Bluetooth aptX. I'm glad I checked my phone and found that it also has this technology. The HTC One M9. Also, the Platinum has in ear phones, not earbuds. Moral of the story is that you have to try them out.(if you're a casual music listener, you may be very happy with the cheaper ones) Best Buy lets you do this. Yes the sound on these is great for music and phone. The Platinum has two mics also, not one like the others. The way the earphones are positioned in the ear makes a huge difference also. They have to be inserted into the ear canal to get the best sound. Then they will sound like over the ear headphones. These feel like an expensive piece of equipment also. They don't have any cheap feel to them. Phone works excellent also.

Pros: Very Stylish. Excellent noise reduction. Sound quality is great. Cons: BT distance isn't as good as the HBS 900. MAYBE 20 FT reach. The earbud retracting isn't lightning fast like the HBS 900 model. Priced too high for what you get. Overall, I bought them because I use my bluetooth headphones for everything. I like the stylish look. I'm fully aware that I will be having to return these when they break and use the refund from my extended warranty to get the next model when it comes out.

My last bluetooth headset was good. I only bought this one because it was on sale. I got it for $99 brought down from $199. The sound is superior. I use it for my iPod while bathing also while working in the yard which i love to do. Very comfortable!

I was a huge fan of the previous model, HBS-900s; however the HBS-1100s have greatly improved upon the design of the HBS-900s. The improved ergonomic design of this headset has allowed for more comfortable use. Plus, the audio quality is great.

I would say so far so good with this LG-Tone, been using it for about two months now. Good Bluetooth connectivity except the constant irritating vibration when your're barely 30ft away from your phone. Easy to pair and comfortable to wear round the neck and the in-ear buds as well. Not shabby for a light workout / exercise. Sound quality is just okay...wish it has Noice cancellation. Hope it will be more durable than my previous headphone, Samsung - Level U Pro Active Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones.

I have bought every model of the lg tones so far and this one is definitely the best one that they've made. I have had the lg infinims for the past 9 months and completely fell in love with them. When I heard about the platinums, I wasn't sure that they'd be much of an improvement since the infinims were already really good, I was wrong big time. The audio has improved, the bass is a lot better, they are virtually weightless (cant even feel the weight of them around my neck) and I seriously appreciate the greatly improve noise isolation! If you have the infinims and are on the fence about upgrading then this comment is for you. Its definitely worth the upgrade! A big improvement on the lg infinims, you wrong regret buying these.

Not as good as prior silver infinum

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I dont care for the buttons on this set as compared to the larger easier to use buttons on my previous silver infinum. The button for on/off takes quite a bit of force to move. Lastly, when I put my cell in my back pocket I get a garbled sound which is gone when I remove it from my pocket. (New iphone 6s -tried using another bluetooth headset and didnt have the same issue so ruling out the phone as the issue) also, I dont feel I have as much distance to go as I did with my previous infinum. (Only reason I had to get a new headset was because I broke my other set during a horseback riding unscheduled water event) Overall though, the headset is better than the regular tones as the harmon kardon speakers provide great sound. I love the fact that the ear buds are retractable as opposed to just hanging. Ive tried many bluetooth headsets and none compare to these , even if they arent as good as the previous silver infinums.
