I picked up this monitor on sale, and for the price, it’s an absolute powerhouse. The 480 Hz refresh rate paired with a 0.03 ms response time delivers motion clarity that’s on another level—fast-paced games look razor sharp even in hectic moments. The OLED panel produces deep blacks, vibrant colors, and stunning contrast, so the visuals in every game feel incredibly immersive. Performance-wise, it’s a dream for competitive gaming, and even cinematic titles benefit from the HDR and color accuracy. The build quality feels premium, and G-SYNC/FreeSync compatibility ensures smooth gameplay across different GPUs. It’s not perfect—brightness isn’t the highest compared to some newer OLEDs, and there are no built-in speakers. Also, to take full advantage of 480 Hz, you’ll need a pretty powerful PC. But if you can grab it at a discount, it’s one of the best high-refresh OLED monitors for the money. I was playing the Battlefield 6 beta with this monitor and it looks great and with the high FPS it was a truly different experience compared to typical IPS monitors. Other games look great Witcher 3 looks great as well. So many games look great. Highly recommend picking up this monitor; however, if you can wait for it to be on sale that would be even better.

Beautiful blacks, bright whites, decent color accuracy. I found the contrast slider to not be super useful if you want to keep your black and white balance in check(past 75 is pushing it). 480hz is incredibly smooth and it feels insanely responsive in games that require snappy inputs, but with a 4070 Super overclocked and a 9700x with the same treatment you might struggle to get 480 fps in most games at higher settings without DLSS. Going from an ASUS 1080p 180Hz TN-display, to an LG 2K 144Hz IPS-display, to this MONSTER!? It honestly feels like cheating… What ghosting and frame variance issues of IPS-displays? Why crave and reminisce about the smoothness, albeit horrible color accuracy, of TN-displays? Why compromise on beautiful color accuracy for speed? This monitor is the complete and OP package. For those that claim they can’t see the difference of higher refresh rate monitors!? Just drag the mouse around on the Desktop with this BEAST…that will be all of the proof you need. Having this monster side-by-side to my previously purchased LG monitor makes it even more painfully obvious how important your gaming monitor is to unlock your full gaming potential. Most setups have limited games they can push at 500+ FPS @ QHD/2K, but you won’t have to worry about your monitor being a bottle neck for a LONG while. After drooling from all of the LG OLED HDR videos on YouTube - this monitor has breathed new life into all of my games, videos, and productivity. Regardless if they are retro, single-player, or online competitive games - everything is SO much better on this monitor. FYI - don’t freak out if the color “grey” looks wonky at first. Be sure to connect the included high-speed USB-C cable and install LG’s software for some calibrations and pixel cleaning to significantly improve color accuracy. No 3rd-party calibration hardware needed (even though they are also supported by LG’s app). Why are you still reading this? Come join the other side. My only regret is that I took far too long to pull the trigger, and that I have to save up a bit and wait to buy another, lol…

This monitor is quite literally a life-changing upgrade for me. I could not be happier. I am a full-time developer and have a gamer and so I wanted something that accommodated a wide range of use cases. As anyone reading this is probably aware... that's pretty difficult to do when it comes to OLED because you either get gaming optimized or work or office optimized. But don't be dissuaded because this monitor is perfect. - Incredibly stable base - Easy as it gets assembly - Great OSD with built in anti-burn in features and an image cleaner setting that optimizes your settings based on detected input (I believe) but it does work quite well. - Clear text, deep blacks, vibrant colors - incredible reviews on rtings around 9+ across the board (highly recommend reviewing your monitor of choice using RTINGS as they are very thorough and technically sound)

Monitor itself is great, amazing refresh rate and great image quality. Upgraded from my 240hz LG Oled and you can definitely see the difference in the quality of colors and the image is so much smoother. If your PC can’t handle competitive games at 500fps, I wouldn’t recommend it, but if it can you should at least consider getting this. The only reason I’m giving it a 4 star is because I bought an open box (excellent), but when the monitor arrived, it had a bent on the bottom left. Contacted Best Buy and I didn’t have a problem keeping it like that but they still gave an extra discount. Good customer care, but next time I get an open box, I would love to be told the truth.

This monitor is a beast! Build quality and aesthetics are unbeatable; it's gorgeous. Controls are easy to use, and if you use the stand, it has a thoughtfully designed wire management port, which cleans things up. On performance, I can only describe the usage from a productivity standpoint, as I sadly haven't had the chance to game on it yet. The colors are exceptional, everything you expect from a top-tier OLED monitor. The brightness and max-brightness are fantastic, which is typically an issue with OLEDs. I've used this monitor for the past 4 months at a school where I primarily coded with it, wrote papers, and did a lot of reading. I wouldn't trade this for anything; it's really been nothing but amazing each time I use it.

I upgraded to this LG UltraGear (27GX790A-B) from a standard 1080p 60Hz monitor that I used for years, and the difference isn't just an improvement—it's a completely different reality. The "Wow" Factor: The most immediate impact is the OLED panel. The description "infinite contrast" sounded like marketing fluff until I saw it. Black levels are actually black, not gray, which makes every other color pop in a way I didn't think was possible. It honestly feels like I was color blind before and am finally seeing true colors for the first time. The jump to 1440p at 27 inches also strikes the perfect balance of sharpness without being impossible to drive. Performance: Going from 60Hz to 480Hz is mind-bending. The smoothness is hard to describe; mouse movements and fast-paced gameplay are liquid-smooth with zero blur. Combined with the 0.03ms response time, everything feels instant. Even if you aren't hitting 480fps in every game, the motion clarity of this OLED panel combined with Nvidia G-Sync destroys any LCD screen I've seen or used.

An amazing looking monitor with everything I could ever need. High refresh rate, deep blacks and stunning whites. The greatest monitor I’ve ever bought, it will truly change your gaming experience. I would never buy this monitor at retail price, please look out for a sale. I bought open box for almost half the price of retail and I couldn’t be happier.

I’m really digging the design of this monitor. It’s super minimalistic but doesn’t skimp on performance. Sure, 480Hz might seem like overkill, but OLED is definitely the way to go. I’m coming from an Asus IPS panel, and this OLED is just bursting with vibrant colors and clarity that’s hard to ignore. Once you try OLED, you just can’t go back!

Original had a 144hz LED monitor and switch to OLED and with the 480hz holy what a change . The colors look so good and love the features

The screen looks astounding, night and day difference to my old IPS. Even downgrading from 4k, thr Oled a d extreme refresh rate is fantastic.
