I purchased this as open box item to save on more expensive brands. It is almost half the price of the price of other brands. I would say it si excellent because of the price, simple operation and picture quality especially when watching 4K movies.

has sharp picture quality, does not stream, but it is connected to a smart tv, so i would rather get the best picture quality from the 4k, blu-ray , and even regular dvds. another brand would not play dvds that i had recorded but this plays them all.

I am extremely pleased with this purchase. I haven’t owned a Blu-ray player by LG before, but I have heard that they are good quality. I would definitely buy this product again and recommend it highly. It was a great purchase for the price.

Set this up with my Samsung 4K 40” TV. DVDs I have in my collection look as good as my blue rays. I have yet to get a 4K disc to play but I expect even greater results from what I’ve seen so far. Internet connectivity is a little limited, thus the 4 star, but otherwise great so far.

I have had this for a year and I love this one- Easy to use! It has everything that I need without all the extra stuff I already have on my TV. Good price and I am thinking of buying another one for another room. Love It, GO LG

This is a basic 4K player that does the job just fine. It doesn't have streaming apps or WiFi connectivity but can be plugged into an Ethernet port for software updates. If you don't need a fancy 4K player with streaming apps, this is a good, cheaper plug-and-play option.

For how cheap this 4K player was I am impressed. Good picture, makes even DVDs look alright when they are upscaled. Wish the remote would work at different angles, sometimes it wants to be pointed right at the sensor and takes a few tries to get it to work.

Got this 4K blu ray player on sale for $99. That is a steal for the price as the next closet is $100 more. It plays the discs as intended. It does not have Wifi capabilities for apps and such but that isn't what I purchased it for.

I felt it was a good device if you already had a smart tv. Why pay the extra when you don't need all the darn apps. I bought it as it was a higher end blue ray player, that can actually play 4k. Shocking how many can't and had a higher price tag. Good buy, no issue to report. Don't feel like I had to give up something for the price.

I bought this one to replace an old Sony BR, and while it’s nice, elegant and easy of use, lacks some features I think should be standard this days: for example the steaming option from a phone or tablet!! Conectivity it’s good, setup it’s easy and responds fast to commands

Was looking for a Blu-ray player that is 4k uhd capable without all the bells and whistles. Price was also a consideration as I wanted to stay around 100 dollars. This LG fit the bill and works like a champ, highly recomend.

Went in to the store looking for an antenna, came home with this awesome player too for $99! Excellent picture quality from it, super quiet, easy hookup, and good remote.

If you're looking for a 4k player not a streaming device and don't have a Dolby Vision TV, you cant go wrong for $79.99. It's played everything I've thrown at it - 4k discs, Blu Rays, and DVDs. It plays HDR10 if your TV supports it with fast load times too! Here are a couple tips - 1) Look for a recent date on the shipping label. I don't plan to connect to internet so I wanted one with a newer firmware update. Since its supports HDR10 only and doesnt have apps I cant imagine there will be many if any future updates. If it works it works... 2) If you're using the optical out for your audio, set frequency to 96hz. This passes both Dolby Digital or DTS 5.1 to my receiver. Sound is amazing! I do have a higher end Marantz that's older with no HDMI inputs.

The LG - UP875 4K Ultra HD 3D Blu-ray Player has great picture quality, it is easy to use and set up. I works well with my Sony 4k TV and my Yamaha AV Receiver. I would think it works well with all LG products too.

Excellent simple player. I absolutely did not need another piece of electronics that will stream services. This 4k player is quick to load and the quality is the same as every other 4k player out there, seriously.

So, there are a lot of options out there for 4k blu-ray players which can add a lot of confusion on how much you should spend. To answer your question, if all you want to do is play 4k movies, this is all you should get. If you want your blu-ray player to be wi-fi connected so you can stream Netflix, Hulu, or whatever, then this is not for you. For me, I have about 15 other devices that can stream Netflix, Hulu, and such so there was no point in buying $230.00+ 4k blu-ray player instead of this $100.00 one.

This is a great 4k blu-ray player! It works great for our needs. We did not need one with wifi because our TV already came with those options. Great price. Would recommend to anyone!

Was looking for a 4k bluray player that wasn't going to break the bank. Best Buy had a great sale so we purchased this player. It connects easily with our LG OLED TV and we are pleased with the picture quality!

DVD's look great, almost as good as blu rays. The menu is simple but intuitive... Easy to use and navigate. Cool thing is you turn on the player and it turns in the TV and the receiver. :) Satisfied with the player.

Had my 4K TV for a couple years, decided on getting a 4K DVD player. This was just a player, no WIFI, or apps. Works great. Would recommend if your TV has WIFI and apps. This just plays your 4K DVD's.
