Outstanding Offering by LG

First let me note that I am coming from the LG G3 and was completely satisfied with that phone. However with gift cards from my job totalling enough to buy the phone outright, I took advantage and upgraded to the LG v20.
It is without a doubt the best phone I have ever owned. It is quick, has a beautiful display, and checks all the boxes for me in what I wanted from a smart phone. Especially important was the need for expandable storage and removable batteries. While it is the largest phone I have owned I don't have problems with one handed operation (I am 6 feet though). It does have the Mini Screen functionality that allows you to shrink the screen to a more comfortable size when needed. I do use from time to time and it works flawlessly by swiping across the bottom of the screen in either direction.
I am on Verizon and have had no issues. I have not experienced any lag or performance issues, though for the record I am not a gamer. Battery life is average I would say and lasts me thoughout the day with moderate use. Please take that comment with a grain of salt because there are SO many variables affecting battery life (background apps running, location, ie being in an area that is looking for a cell signal which drains the battery, etc.) But having extra batteries resolves any concerns for me in that regard. I carry a spare battery with me always for days when I will be out later than I expected. I also swap each morning between a battery I charged overnight and the battery I used the prior day. Stand by time btw is excellent. Very little battery drain.
Pictures under the right lighting are outstanding. Otherwise the pictures are pretty good. Same regarding videos though I haven't done a lot of video recording. I don't have enough high quality music files to comment on the DAC but otherwise the music quality is really nice. Having all my music in iTunes when Apple is no longer making high capacity ipods, I am absolutely thrilled that I can now download ALL my songs onto my 256 Gig SD card and have my music with me at all times.
All that AND an IR blaster! I am good for a while!
Hope this review is helpful and that if you purchase the phone you will be as pleased as I am.

I was one of the Samsung Note 7 victims & it turns out I am glad for it as I like the LG V20 even more. Size is the same without the curved edges that I found annoying, especially with screen protectors. My eyes can't notice the difference with the lack of Samsung's OLED screen. I had & used the Note 7 for a few weeks before returning it & I have no complaints with the color, clarity & brightness of the V20. And here is what makes the LG V20 better than the Note 7...removable battery, DAC audio (I like listening to music). And the battery lasts longer than the Note 7. Specs may seem worse on paper but this phone simply holds its charge much better and with a good amount of use over 18 hrs it ends with about 30-40%...if I take it easy with the online surfing I could probably go 2 full days before needing to recharge. Price is a huge benefit with Verizon. The full price is just 672, about 200 less than the other carriers. And I took advantage of the 200 credit with my Samsung Galaxy S5 trade in (worth 60 for trade in without the promo). So for a bit over 450 (just about 100 more than the 2 yr contract upgrade with the Note 7) I have this awesome phone and I am still month to month with Verizon so if I choose to use the upgrade next yr I can. But unless some revolutionary phone comes out next yr I can easily see myself enjoying this phone for at least a couple of years. And the free premium headphones worth 180 is the icing on the cake. Really looking forward to receiving those to fully appreciate the DAC. Plus this may be the last removable battery & headphone jack phone available should Samsung copy Apple's lack of headphone jack move. I highly recommend this to anyone, especially if you are with Verizon due to the price. I am using an Incipio case (dark red & black) and IQ Shield Matte (virtually fingerprint free, reduces glare) screen protector and am very pleased with these as well.

I got this phone about 2 weeks ago and I am so very happy with it, Its a pleasure to use, very fast and call quality is superb, I have had the Note 7 before the recall, I also had the S7 Edge which was also a great phone, but I switch carriers and decided to go with something different, did alot of research on the v20 ,found out about all of it's great features, like a quad audio DAC, excellent manual camera controls, dual front cameras and recording live concerts is outstanting!!

LG V20 Higher End Phone?

I went through all of the Note 7 recalls. I still had it when they reduced the charging level to 60%. Rumor had it that they were going to disable the phones that had not been turned in. I absolutely loved the Note 7. But I was going to fly so I had to get a different phone.
I initially (for 5 days) got a Samsung S7 Edge. It was too small. Maybe great for someone that has small fingers but not for me. I hated the S7 Edge. I got notice that the LG V20 I had ordered the middle of October finally came in. I traded in the S7 Edge back in for the V20. The V20 is an OK phone but that is all. The camera is not near as good as the Note 7. The screen resolution is not as good as the Note 7. When my contacts were transferred from the S7 Edge to the V20, the contacts transferred without any associated phone numbers. I have spent hours adding phone numbers back into my contacts.
The phone does not pair well with Ford's Sync 3 System (2017 Ford Escape) The Note 7 worked to perfection.
The screen layout is so different compared to the Note 7. I have to hunt for everything. I cannot believe Android Systems can be so different.
I have yet to get the V20 to pair with my 65 inch Sony 4K TV. The Note 7 paired perfectly and was able to cast my 4K movies to the TV.
The V20 is a fairly good phone but I cannot wait until Samsung comes out with a Note 7 replacement. I will be the first one in line to get the replacement. Even if I have to camp out in front of the store.
I liked the Note 7 so much that I wanted to keep it in spite of the battery problems. My Note 7 never did get hot. Unfortunately I have to fly once in awhile for work so that was the nail in the coffin for my Note 7.
I do not want an I-Phone. I refuse to buckle under to "The World According to Apple".

Awesome Phone

By far the best phone I've ever owned. I explained to the sales person I have very little feeling in my fingers. The buttons on my old LG G2 were very difficult to feel. She showed me the V20 which has the volume buttons on the side instead of next to the on/off button like the G2. The buttons on the V20 are very easy to feel and use. So far everything about the phone is awesome.

Worst phone I ever owned

I was so excited to leave Samsung. But now I want to go back. This phone is sooooooo glitchy. Calls often drop, Bluetooth often disconnects, phone will pause video or audio for no reason, literally pushing play every 5 secs to watch a video online. LG makes garbage. Oh yeah and the pics/videos look terrible. Battery life hasn't lasted a day yet. Second screen would be cool, if I didn't suspect it's the cause for media playback problems.
