It works as a back up only and will only give about 10% charge but enough for a call. Been helpful on few occasions.

does not look like it would protect the phone much in case of an accident.

The battery life is excellent and the price is perfect!!

Unfortunately, I must return this item. It did not extend the battery life of my phone to any recognizable degree.

I purchased this battery case for my Samsung Galaxy S4 while on sale during the holidays. First, it does provide some extra power and is useful while on the road when charging from an outlet is unavailable or inconvenient. However, I've had problems charging the case while hooked up to the phone. Unlike what the manufacturers say, when the battery case is installed the phone will NOT charge while a USB charger plugged in. Every few minutes the phone will get a touch of charge, but will then immediately disconnect. Because you can't turn on the battery case while charging, my phone will actually LOSE charge while hooked up to a USB charger. Because the charging starts & stops, an annoying side effect is the phone will make the charging sound every 5 minutes, making it impossible to sleep. To prevent this, I have to manually remove the battery case (which stresses the USB port) and charge my phone & battery case separately. Very inconvenient. .

S4 with this Lifecharge battery case fell flat on it's face and the screen cracked. If the edges were raised the case would have absorbed the impact. It has fallen before from the same counter but with a tech21 inpactology case and all was fine. If it had this protection and it still cracked then we can blame other factors (fragile phone, height, or surface hardness).

This would be a great item if it worked. I bought 2 of them while it was on the "Deal of the Day" and I thought they were a great deal until I received them. One was a gift for my sister and the second was for myself. We both had issues from this extended battery case. The first issue is connecting it to you Galaxy S4. See, the way it is plugged into the device can lead to the charging plug being bent or broken inside the Galaxy S4. To plug the battery into the S4 requires you to plug the battery case with a strait non-flexing pin into the S4 at an angle which can damage the S4's plug. Second issue was that the battery case wouldn't charge when attached to the phone. My case needed to be separated each time from the S4 phone to charge it. The battery case directions states that separating the devices to charge them both was "not necessary". Third issue was that even when the battery case was fully charged it would not charge the phone or extend it's battery life. The forth issue was that the battery cases indicator lights and button would only function if separated from the phone. That is completely counter intuitive to the battery cases function and directions.

Bought for deal of the day and everything works fine. Would buy again for $26

It works as expected. great deal of the day item for $25.

I got two good charges out of this device. Now I charge it full and the case will charge my phone for may five to 10 minutes and then the case is dead. The theory is great but the quality of equipment is poor.

It is an awesome product. I used simmilar product before but non match this product. It is a good and durable.

Would not recommend. Only allowed my phone a few more minutes than usual to stay on. still had my phone dying by mid afternoon or sooner.
