The Aquaphonics AQ9 is my first waterproof portable speaker and it does not disappoint. I was able to hook it up in my bathroom without any issue and it withstood the shower spray like a champ. Sound quality is quite good for a speaker of this size and price range. Bass is above average as well. The speakerphone quality is nice and I was able to take a phone call smoothly. I have used the speaker for more than 10 hours and it is still going strong without needing to recharge. Recharging the speaker battery is a cinch too. The design works for me with the cassette player appearance. Power and lock buttons are located on the top. The AQ9 allows for 8 bluetooth device connections which could be very useful. Overall I did not expect much from this speaker's performance but I am glad I tested it since it's well built and sounds good. Very nice buy for anyone looking for a lightweight portable speaker that is water and dirt resistant! PROS: +Very durable +Surprisingly good sound +Lightweight +Water and dirt resistant design CONS: Nothing signifcant

Loved how slim and lightweight this speaker was in addition to the carabiner corner. The sound quality was just ok. Was disappointed when the speaker refused to accept a charge after owning for about one week. Best Buy accepted my return.

I love the size and slim line style of the LifeProof - Aquaphonics AQ9 Portable Bluetooth Speaker. It is perfect for hanging in or near the shower or setting by the pool or spa while outside. It looks to be tough enough to withstand being dropped or knocked over. My husband even went outside to clean the pool and attached the speaker to his belt loop. It has a handy carabiner type clip that is attached and he said it was light weight and comfortable. The sound quality was ok. Not a lot of base, so it sounded very flat. The volume was fine for small backyard use, but probably wouldn't extend to far in a larger setting. It was very easy to sync to the Bluetooth on my phone and very easy to use. It did, however provide what it claims to provide. It is good for personal use. We are going to use it while on vacation in the Bahamas to play music on the beach. It will fit great in our luggage due to it's slim profile and light weight. Overall, we like this speaker. I do wish it had a little more base to it though to make the sound quality that much better.

First couple of weeks I had it the experience was wonderful. Then the charge wouldn't hold as long as it was and it fell of my one foot coffee table and the clip would connect anymore which is a pretty key component on why I bought it. But overall it's a consistent quality speaker

Great speaker for traveling. Clips onto any bag and is so easy to use. Stays charged for a few days at a time. Great for the pool or beach. Volume is very clear. Doesn’t interfere with others. Highly recommended for people who are not tech savvy.

I purchased this speaker for my son, who is a college freshman. He says the sound is good, but it's not "shake the room" loud. It's a convenient speaker that he can toss around and not have to worry about dropping or getting wet.

It’s a good sounding device...it just has a very low max volume...for an item that can cost up to $100, it needs to have a little more power behind the sound

This Lifeproof portable mini speaker is great for those people that go camping, to go to the pool or just to go biking. The Aquaphonics AQ9 is water proof (1 meter for 30 minutes) ,so don't go swim too deep for to long, just make sure that you press the lock button before you try it under water. The speaker has a clip that you can hang this speaker on your backpack or maybe on your belt. The battery last me pretty much all day and for a small speaker, the sound is incredible clear. The speaker comes with a build in mic so you can answer your calls if you are connected to your phone. The speaker is drop proof just like any other Lifeproof product.

It's great when you purchase something and it goes above what you expected. This is one of those items. I clip it to my belt loop and I take it everywhere.
