However, it was rendered useless when it was actually time to make a phone call. Something about the case made it impossible for the person on the other end of the call to hear and understand me, and it was reported across several different calls that there was an echo so bad that the other person could hear themselves speaking full sentences a few seconds after they had already spoken. If a case makes the primary function of a phone useless, then the case itself is useless. It has been returned, and I will not be buying Lifeproof products again.

Posted .We're sorry to hear you've had a disappointing experience with the LifeProof FRĒ in terms of audio clarity, and we absolutely want to help get things cleared up with all that echo business. Our first suggestion would be to reinstall your device facedown into the lid portion of the case, followed by attaching the base. It can also potentially help if you to go into the Settings of your iPhone and turn off the noise-cancellation feature. We'd also recommend paying attention to how the device is being held while you're chatting, as any cupping of your hand way at the lower end could possibly be creating some interference.
