I bought this because there are times that I work long shifts and don't always have access to power and always carrying around a portable battery pack can be cumbersome. The weight on the case was not horrible giving the fact that it had a 2600 mA battery. Turning the battery on was not always easy, you had to mash on the button on the back several times before it would activate. Also the silent switch on the side would not work. I returned this and went back with a lifeproof fre'

That said, it is a bit on the bulky side. Not a problem for me as I like a bit of heft to my phone; makes it feel solid. But... if you are say, going for a run, it is a bit brick-ish to carry.
