I chose lifeproof because any otterbox I have owned has somehow broken. At one point I had dropped my phone in water and figured I needed the extra protection. This case has already broken. I an not rough on the phone it pretty much stays in my pocket. I have contacted lifeproof for the warranty and we will see what happens.
