But the problem was, I had problems with the touch screen at this point. I literally had to cut the plastic off the front of the case, and purchase a separate screen saver. Then I could use the touch feature on my iPhone.

It sounds like that integrated plastic may have been sitting a tad higher above your phone display than we would normally prefer. Had you contacted us, we would have been happy to send you a warranty replacement to fix things up. We typically do not recommend modifying the original structure of the unit, as this can jeopardize the overall protective abilities and could void the warranty.
