I love the LifeProof cases. They are strong, light, drop-resistant and waterproof. This is my second one; it replaced the first because, after about 1.5 years of use with the accessory belt clip, the rubber bumper/edging around the top began to deteriorate. When it started actually separating and peeling away from the top of the case I decided it was time to retire it. Good thing, too; when I water tested the old case (after removing the phone) I found it was no longer waterproof. Just goes to show you that you have to constantly check your gear if you want to be sure you are protected.

Best ever purchase to keep intact iPhone from any possible damage whether dropped on floor, dropped in water. No better protection for an expensive iPhone. Still looks brand new right out of the case!

This is an awesome case . I got it because it had the best reviews for what I needed it for. I do construction and landscaping during spring and summer and plowing in the winter. I have dropped it and it has no damage to phone yet. The only downside is it is definitely a little less loud when your talking to someone or listening to music. Also the screen protector would be a little nicer if it was tempered glass and not that plastic because it gets scratched easy.

The lifeproof fre is definitely a worthwhile case. I work outdoors quite often and in field environments. I have used this case with my phone when it was pouring down rain and my phone is still going fine. It offers excellent protection for the phone besides weather as well. I have dropped my phone a numerous amount of times and still it's good to go. For me spending a little more for a case knowing that I'm covered in almost any situation is very reassuring. Money well spent for me!

Eighty bucks is a Lot of money for a phone case...But...$600+ for a new phone is a Lot More. Daughter dropped her iPhone in the toilet ...no case = Big $$$ to replace it, so when it came time for 12 year old grandson to get a phone, he wisely chose this case. I have a Evutec case for my phone and it adds very little bulk ...the trade off is it doesn't offer the protection of this case. The Lifeproof adds little more bulk but a LOT more protection. Spend the extra if you're prone to dropping phones in toilet!

With dropping of phones which can happen especially crack screens and other damages. This has been a wonderful asset to my grandsons who has had this occurrence before. No more cracked screens

got case for kid's phone. has built in screen protector and is reported to be waterproof but I'm still too cautious to go through the steps to implement. all holes are sealed, so can be difficult to hear sound out of the speaker with case on, and hard to be heard when on phone so best to use hands free buds/mic. note that earphone jack gets a screw in plug when not in use, and most headphones will not be able to reach the actual device jack without the extension the manufacturer provides.

So far has protected my device from several falls and spills. It does make changing the ringer setting difficult and a couple times the fingerprint code was unable to read but otherwise seems to work well.

I never tried Lifeproof cases until this purchase. I decided to give it a try as the price was right and I am very satisfied with the drop and water protection. One thing to be careful of is to keep the headphone jack adaptor as you need it with you to plug in headphones as the port becomes recessed about 1/4" with this case. Other than the headphone jack being a little harder to access, I am happy and can recommend it, especially if you live an active lifestyle.

I work in an area where if I didn't have a good case the phones would get ruined. I bought this for my work phone and it's already been throught the tests of being dropped and in fluids.

I bought one of the these for my son and it worked so well I bought it for both of my daughters phones as well. Great case that puts up with all their abuse like dropping phone and leaving outside on grass for morning sprinklers, etc. Doesn't add a lot of bulk or extra weight like some other cases while still offering great drop protection. Don't take it off though because it's a pain to try and get the dust back out of it once you've reopened it...son made that mistake.

Good protection, light weight, not bulky. Overall good value when on sale/price matched.

Frē Protective Case works well. I have use this while in the ocean while filming and it works great to protect my phone but all so didn't mess up the video quality to much.

This case is about the size of my last protective cover, but this one is waterproof(ish)! I understand it doesn't handle deep water well, but it is winter and too cold to test that... The touch security unlock only recognizes my fingerprint every other third try and the screen is more finnachy than it used to be about my touch. I have been told I sound muffled unless I speak a bit louder. BUT- I can take pictures in shallow waters now!!! Very cool.

I bought this to protect my first ever smart phone. Easy to install and it does not adversely affect the operation of the phone. I have not tested the waterproofing.

This is pretty much the only way to kidproof your phone. LifeProofs are always a bit pricey but ultimately they're cheaper and less of a headache than replacing your phone so...

Overall, the LifeProof Frē rocks. I’ve always trusted Otterbox, so their Lifeproof line was a no brainer. Relatively slim for a water/dustproof case, the clamshell design is easy to open and reseal. The only downside is the headphone jack. To insure a a seal, you have to use their O ring-equipped extension cable. Not a big deal but, if you have a wired set of cans, it’s something to consider. In general, highly recommended!

My daughter loves this case as she doesn't have to worry about her phone getting water damage and she can take videos and photos underwater when we are on vacation.

I have been using LifeProof cases exclusively for several years now and don't think I could ever use any other case. They have saved my phones many many times. When getting a new iPhone SE for my son, I told him the only condition was that he had to keep it in a LifeProof case. He chose the Fre and has been very happy with it. The waterproof feature is a must considering how often we go jet skiing and take our phones out on the water worry free (especially since we also have the LifeProof floating LifeJacket). It's a great solid case with waterproofing that has never let us down.
