I wanted something that would protect the sides of the phone a little better. As a bonus, this one also has a built in cover for the charging port to help keep dirt out of it.

It should not have been sold to me. Only kept it knowing that Lifeproof has a great warranty and will take care of it. Best buy had no more in stock and it would have ween weeks to replace. My new phone is too valuable to not have a case. This pandemic procedure has caused this, not the store. I would never have picked this case on my own with the packing being opened already.

Exchanged this case for a new one and same problem. Wanted to love this case, feels nice and I appreciate the covers for the port and speakers but for this much money I expect better quality from the clear back on this case.
