After that the rubber seal along the sides begins to buckle and come loose. Then the rubber completely falls off due the rubber expanding. This makes the case totally useless.

Lifeproof did send me another case it took about a week to receive and I prayed my phone stayed intact while I waited for it to come in.

Not worth the money

OK while it lasted...

Use was not terribly hard, just carrying it around in chinos pockets, never wet, etc. Despite this, the rubber around the outside edge came off after only a few months. No problem, I saw it was a common problem in these reviews, and Lifeproof's replies here on the Best Buy site always said to call and they'd replace it. Well, it doesn't quite work that way in practice. When I called, the rep told me that the case was discontinued and that they therefore no longer warranty them. Well, it has a one-year warranty, and was only a few months old (and, beyond that, they are still being sold by Best Buy as having a one-year warranty). Despite this, the rep repeated that they are no longer warrantied for any reason for any period of time and that, basically, I was out of luck. This is incredibly misleading, and it was unexpected treatment from a company I once trusted.
