There were softer, nicer cases, but I want an Apple Leather one. They don't offer it yet, so in the meantime I needed something. After a lot of thought, I picked this because the case is made from plastic recovered from the ocean (NICE, we need to clean that stuff up), and the description on Best Buy's site described it as a "Skin", I assumed that mean something like a sock, something soft and rubbery, that would not threaten to scratch my new phone. Alas, that's what it is. It's a hard plastic case with a lot of inner edges for support that, in fact, do seem likely to scratch the phone. It's a bit of a struggle to get it on the phone as well, further increasing the chances of damage. Once on, it's even harder to get off. While it's in, the case does it's job. It feels...like a plastic case with weird rased waves, there is no layer of rubber or anything, just hard plastic.

You get what you get for the price, Great case
