Infrared element stopped working

This is my second lifesmart slim line heater. The infrared element stopped working a month after purchase. I have emailed lifesmart and waiting a reply. I gave it 3 stars only because my first slim line lasted 3 years. The element stopped working in that one also. It puts out pretty good heat when working.
