I am an employee of Best Buy and recently used the Life Straw while spending time outside and have used other water filtration systems in the past. I like how lightweight and effortless this is to pack and carry. The straw is all that is required no bottles or filters necessary to make it work. It comes with a strap that attaches to the straw to make it easily accessible to grab when near any water source on the go. It does take a bit of sucking to get the water to come through the straw, but once the water flows through it becomes easier. It is also extremely easy to clean out the unfiltered water in the straw by following the instructions printed right on the straw. I used it when paddling on a lake and then on a hike. On the lake it was great to not have to worry about carrying a bottle as I could just lean over the boat and take a drink. Also, the straw floats so if I dropped it in the water it could be retrieved without having to go for a swim. While hiking after a rain storm, it was a bit awkward to lean down on the ground when near water especially with a muddy trail. I would recommend bringing either a glass or a bottle along if going out where there aren’t many water sources or the trails are fairly muddy to help drink and store the water. The water tasted great on both adventures. Overall I would recommend this product as it is simple to carry and use.

I have own four previous LifeStraw and another Life product!!! They do really work and you need on in every emergency kit and bug out bag!!!!

Really looking forward to using this. Got it for $8 off. It filters up to 1,000 gallons - I could almost chuck my home water filter pitchers (I won’t mention any brand name here) and just use this. Very lightweight and fits in your backback.

Great product for the camper who stays out on longer treks or addition to your emergency kit. Easy to use if you know how to use a straw. No batteries required.

Easy to use and easy to carry while hiking. It will be needed in an emergency. Not used yet.

I keep 3 of those in my emergency kit and use them when fishing as well 4000 gal of water and 5 years thats amazing

Cool that you can drink dirty water and feel safe doing so. Easily carried for emergency situations.

Made a great stocking stuffer and will be great for camp. Gave one away to a homeless guy when leaving Best Buy. I was in the holiday spirit!

Haven't needed to use it yet but packaging is secure, shipping to store was relatively quick, and just storing it in the car in case of emergency.

I actually have not used this product - sort of keeping it close by for the day water isn’t drinkable anymore... Could be fairly soon!

I haven't used it yet but feel good for having it just in case. It has been around a while and I trust what I have read about it. It will come in handy when I am out and about and I don't have access to my water bottle.
