If you like Aloe Black you will like this CD :-). Original and inspirational. Drove for four hours and listened to it over and over. You don't do that with a CD that is just OK.

Love the new songs and is a very inspirational work just like is prior work

Aloe Black is an amazing talent & he delivers an amazing album. You will not be disappointed at all!

This CD has some great tracks, and a few which are ho-hum.

Excellent album. Although he's left PB Wolf's Stones Throw label, I would not in any way call this major label debut a sellout. If you love soul music, you would do yourself a favor to pick this up. The opener, "The Man" is a great pick yourself up song.

Aloe Blacc has been one of my favorite singers to emerge in recent years. There's something deeply real and intimate in his vocal inflections. His song craft can often be a little shaky, but all in all, he's always an artist worth a serious listen.

This is Aloe Blacc's best album as far with the biggest hit being "The Man" best popularized by the Beats headphone commercials but its hard not to like this upbeat song. Album is worth getting to hear all the other songs because they are just as soulful and well meaning.

The album sounds liek something from the past but it was a sound that could be confused for a new style of music becuase ite has an epic appeal for good music. The lyrics are definetely soulful with a fun music backgroud for all ages.

Great pop hooks and rhythms will have you humming and singing along after only a few listens. Like mixing a little more hip hop influence into Jamiroquai.

This is one of the first albums in a while that doesn't have a bad song on it. I would recommend this album to anyone that has varying tastes in music.

The main good songs are I'm the man and Wake me up! Awesome CD. Makes your day.

Love the lyrics! He does a great job telling you a story. Love listening to it.

This is an amazing album. Brings back a sense of the old Motown and soul eras.

He is a new artist and he is very good too. I hope he makes good music often.

I normally buy a CD for the one or two songs that the artist is known for. But Aloe's album has all good songs.
