Quality bulbs, finicky pairing process
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The bulb was a bit tricky to pair, I set up them up with Apple's Home app. First make sure that your phone is connected to WiFi, then install your bulbs. Turn on both bulbs, open the Home app and click the + icon too add accessory. Scan the QR codes one by one, mine were stickers on the installation manual (I'd keep these QR codes in case you have to troubleshoot in the future). It took about 10-20 seconds for the device to pair. If you run into errors, verify your phone is connected to your home wireless network, power cycle the bulbs by turning the lamp off and on again, and try to add the accessory again. I'd give it 5 stars if I didn't have to power cycle the device & add the accessory two or three more times before having it show up in my Home app. This is a cheaper, bridgeless alternative to the more expensive Phillip's Hue bulbs. All and all for what you get at this price point I'd say it's worth it, even more so if you can get them on sale.

Good lights, troublesome setup
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These bulbs are quite good. Once they were set up, they were relatively easy to use and had a nice range of brightness, color, and utility. The LIFX app is not super user-friendly. I had to really poke and prod to find what I needed to find. The main problem was getting them set up. For some reason I couldn't just use the LIFX app -I also had to add the lights to the apple "home" app. There was no way around it as far as I could tell. Setting the first light up took 5 minutes. Setting the second light up took about 25 minutes. It failed twice, and I thought I was just banging my head against he wall, but it worked the third time for some reason. These are good lights, and might be worth the money if you don't want to pay for a bigger name.

Great smart bulbs, but error in instructions
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the lights. I’m having so much fun with them. Makes me want to buy more!! The only thing is they were a PAIN in the butt to set up on our Wi-Fi. Some tips: don’t set up all the light bulbs at the same time in one room if that’s your goal. it will conflict with each other. Connect them to network separately in different rooms then plug in same room. 2nd: if you need the MAC addresses of the bulbs for a network with a MAC filter, ignore the instructions in the box. They are WRONG. They tell you the serial numbers on the bulbs and on the sheets are the MAC addresses. They are NOT the same. I had to find it by looking at my internet providers app that shows the devices that have connected to our network and then found their MAC addresses that were similar to the serial numbers apart from a few characters; very weird error that should be corrected by manufacturer.

Best Value Color Changing Lights
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.LIFX lights provide a great value vs more competitor like Hue. I use these around my apartment and they sync with the LIFX app and Apple Home. There were a lot of connectivity issues when I first purchased these, especially if there was a power outage. LIFX has provided routine updates since then that has completely fixed those issues for me. I don't think you can beat the value.

Beautiful vivid colors
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bright, vivid colors, along with tunable whites. The app is very easy to use. The bulbs are a little pricy but very good features. (Requires WiFi to control with the app)

Nice replacement for a non smart fluorescent
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had a couple of old fluorescents burn out so I decided to upgrade. I already had LIFX bulbs and the app so I went with the same brand. They are overall good, but I changed my router recently and there is no easy way to change networks. I just reset them and started from zero. I think this could be easily improved.

Not Bad
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They are much brighter than Phillips hue but when it comes down to connectivity, it tends to be a bit annoying. No complaints aside from that though, definitely would buy this again.

Lifx 2pk Lights
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These bulbs work just fine with my HomePod mini. My only complaint is with the setup instructions for the lights. This is a two pack. The manufacturer provides two scan codes, one specifically for each light, but doesn't mention that the codes must match the light you are installing. It was only through my persistence that I finally figured it out. Each light has a very faint S/N number on it that matches one of the scan codes. If the light and scan code don't match the setup process fails.

Good bulb, but app needs improvement.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The lights are good, and integrate with Smartthings and Alexa, however the app could be more streamlined. I have similar bulbs from Wiz, and their app is much cleaner, with a more user-friendly interface than the Lifx app, but hopefully the app will improve. The app does however have some nice features including the scheduling, but sometimes bulbs on the on same color don't always appear to be an exact match which is annoying. Creating scenes is a little too involved also. For this reason, I'd probably be much more inclined to buy Wiz next time around.

Great lightbulbs
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My girlfriend and i love these lights, they were super easy to setup and are great for our lamps. The only downside was the lifx app wouldnt work for the initial setup and we had to use the home app instead.

Frustrating at first but finally works
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have way more smart lights and gadgets than what it’s considered normal. These are good but I had great difficulty with app finding bulb, manual keying in smart ID from packaging didn’t work. Was about to give up and it finally connected Lights are good with multiple pre programmed scenes and connected to Alexa with ease

The app needs work
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They are pretty, bright, and lots of color hues, I’m not really a fan of the app, for some reason every time the phone screen turns off, the bulbs stop changing colors ,

Wi-Fi
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoy these lights there's a fact you can set them on timers whereas when you're out of town you can have lights come on certain times of the day you can also manually turn them on through the app on the phone would highly recommend getting these

Massage Studio34
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like LIFx products. Apple Home compatible. However, these particular set of bulbs are on the softer side of bright lights. They are perfect for a massage area a front door entrance, reading room or baby room. I do recommend LIFx lights.

Lights are good. LIFX App is not
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The lights work pretty well. I like the spectrum of color options. I tried to download the app on my iPhone but it wouldn’t connect reliably with the lights, so I’m just using the generic “home” app and controlling it that way, but I think I’m not capturing all the potential features that the lights should have to offer.
