Love LIFX Lights, LIFX Switches not so much

I'm going to start with, I love LIFX! I own many of their lights (over 22) of all types and use indoor and out. Their lights works great with HomeKit, are stable and easy to set-up and operate with the LIFX and Apple Home apps. Siri voice commands work great to operate them. Very happy with the lights--I stay true to LIFX brand for smart lights.
I bought the switches based on my appreciation for the LIFX brand experience. I wanted a guest to just be able to "flip the switch" to turn on the lights like normal in a couple of places where I had LIFX lights. Was happy to see the LIFX switch which would mean, "power always on" for the circuit with a LIFX light while still being able to have a regular (though fancier" switch. This was to be for two Mini Color Lights A19 in pendulum lamps above bar on switch and two BR30 Bar Kitchenette can lights over sink. Also, liked that I'd be able to control a couple more LIFX lights in the same room not on the circuit (a lamp plugged into the wall and Z-strip on back of TV for Theatre Lighting.
So I ordered the 2pk of switches. All went well installing them. See pictures. You need to have a neutral wire (which I did). Instructions are good.
Then used the LIFX app to onboard the switches like I have so many times before with their lights. Followed the instructions verbatim. But every time it hung up (spinning wheel in lower right corner and progress bar which never progressed).--see image. After many tries, I called LIFX Support.
They were responsive. Support had me download an app and run some diagnostics. In the end, Support blamed my eero Pro 6 wi-fi (all with ethernet backhaul). Wanted me to do a bunch of work arounds (bridge the three eeros), this would have required setting up all my devices of which I have many all over again, plus I'd lose some functionality of eero. And hey, their lights work great, why not the switches? And I installed 3 new BR30s (at same time as the switches) and two new Z-strips (after the switches) with no issues--easy peasy. Not worth the effort for two stubborn switches. I was left with "it's not me, it's your sucky switches." : )
The switches came without HK codes (where all the lights had printed HK codes). I know the switch firmware update would allow the switches to generate HK codes, but the problem is, I can't get them to connect through the LIFX app to my wi-fi. They say "Wait while we configure your device" but it never does (see screen shot).
I asked LIFX support if they could replace the switches with ones that have printed HK codes as I believed this might be the solve (otherwise I had to work around the HK set-up part where it was getting hung up). They kind of just kept ignoring this request, though they said they escalated. I haven't heard back from them after reaching out twice.
I did go so fair as to order a second set from another retailer (though Best Buy is my tech go to retailer). The seller said they'd have printed HK codes. They did not and I returned them. Unfortunately, I've got no alternative but to return these switches too. : (. Alternatively, I use clear magnetic switch plates and a printer with clear ribbon to "label" the switches so anyone can use the voice commands to operate the lights on the switch and to prevent a "dumb" switch from shutting off power to a smart light--see pictures. Tacky but it works for now.
I hope LIFX will make a reliable switch that works with their app for set up and comes with printed HK codes in the future.

Easy install and works great. Needed a dimmable smart switch and this fit the bill perfectly.

This switch enables you to have multiple functions within the Lifx app or smart home app of your choice. Not many, if any, provide this feature making it a lot better when intended for smart home control.

Before buying, make sure this item will work for you. Requires a neutral wire. This item will not work if your fixture is controlled by more then one switch.

Wonderful switches, only complaint I have is if you are installing on a 2 gang spot compatibility with no screw snap on style switch covers you may have a gap…..I took the adapter plate out to fix this but I would have no issue paying a few bucks for a Lifx 2 gang plate. Otherwise I love being able to control 4 locations or groups with these switches.

Small connectivity issues after a loss of power but otherwise a great product! The flexibility to control a light for a different area is the reason I purchased this and it was worth every penny!
