I've been in the market for smart bulbs and happened to see this on the Best Buy website. Setup was pretty simple, but for some reason, the app didn't allow me to initially create a password. This wasn't a problem initially, but I needed to install it on my wife's phone and had to do a password reset. The app was pretty self explanatory; you can change the brightness and shade of white and can set timers. Plus, there are constant app updates all the time. I'm really happy with this item and plan to slowly add more into the house.

I left a rather glowing review of the color versions of this bulb, but I also bought 2 of these. Basically it comes down to this. These are a MILE ahead of the Hue bulbs in brightness and has one killer feature - the ability to change the color temperature of the white bulb. Want to throw these in a kitchen and have a whiter more daylight effect? No problem. Want them in another room and set a more romantic candlelight like yellow? No problem. Even better yet is the app which uses a color wheel of white options that you just tap and it changes. Super cool bulbs. Definitely get them. Just wish they were cheaper and wish LIFX offered a light switch that controlled and dimmed these for those who visit and don’t have the app.

Works very well in a can light fixture over my fireplace. I connected it to my Amazon echo and it works well dimming, on and off and changing the white levels - all by voice commands. Great bulb that doesn't need a hub (does need Wi-Fi though).

I purchased these to expand my current set up at home to slowly have my entire home on smart bulbs. I have 80% of my home on LIFX bulbs and so I bought these while on sale. Great bulbs, a little too expensive for bulbs but nonetheless they work well 90% of the time. Other times they wont respond having me turn off the lights then turning them back on.

Works with Alexa, and has many good features. There's still some kinks though. have updated firmware and still on occasion the bulbs will stop responding. Have to flick the switch to reset before it will be visible in the app again.

Love these bulbs. Bought 4 for the kitchen. Control them with Amazon Echo. Set up was not effortless, but not overly complicated. Took about 10-15 to set up all 4 bulbs. Color and brightness can be adjusted. Color adjustment is only different shades of white, not red, blue, green, etc. For the price, these are excellent bulbs.

Love the fact it doesn't require a hub, however, communication over wifi tends to be slower than other systems. The colors and brightness are better than the hue. The app is one of the best out there.

I have had the LIFX bulbs in my outside light fixtures and a couple of indoor lamps for about a month now. Downloaded the app when the bulbs were delivered. It was easy to configure the app for the lights. If it is dark when I arrive home I turn on the outdoor garage lights and one of the lights inside the house using the app on my cell phone. Its great having that ability to light up the area and not walk into a dark house. It is also nice not having to leave the lights on all day. The one downside is that the bulbs are expensive. I waited until they were on sale before buying them.

These lights are great. I was able to get them on sale and we love them. They have a lot of different settings to change the shade of white and brightness. They work well with my Amazon Echo. The only issue i had was one of the 4 lights took a while to accept the firmware update. Otherwise i would have given this item 5 stars.

This was my first time trying a smart light bulb. I love it. The app works great to control it on your phone when you're not home. I would have given 5 stars, but the light flickers, not often, but it does. May be some wifi interference, I'll have to figure that out!

These are great bulbs to add to a "smart home". They have a great range of white color. I love the ability to set schedules. I will be adding more to my home.

I went to Best Buy to buy Philips Hue smart bulbs but I decided to buy this in order to use it along with my new Amazon Echo. The bulb is good and responds perfectly to commands. Only Con would be its a little tedious to pair it with Amazon Echo, otherwise its great

This Lifx bulb just works. It is wifi. It doesn't need a hub to work. It's still a little expensive. It works great.

I REALLY LIKE THEY WAY THE LIGHT CAN GO FROM FLORESCENT TO A WARM EASY ON THE EYES LIGHT. THE APP CAN USE A LITTLE IMPROVEMENT BUT OVERALL I WILL BE PURCHASING MANY MORE OF THESE BAD BOYS IN THE FUTURE.

Its really cool how you can program dimming and color with full automation. It is for an advanced person though. The only feature that was annoying, was that when you switch on and off the physical switch, it will reset to factory brightness an color ever time. It can be "jarring" and that feature is why my wife didn't like it. So unfortunately, we needed to return them.

Unit is ok as single unit but it is not working very good with Alexa App like other devices like Wemo etc..

Very easy to set up, install app and change timer.

Had difficult time with website & the download. Not happy as I thought I would be able to dim & brighten, but can do neither it is just a light bulb. No help at the website & no one to contact for help. It is just ok, but not ok for the price. If I am not doing something right I would appreciate help.
