Installation was a bit difficult, it is best to follow the instructions and create your design whilst on a flat surface before attaching to the wall. I also found that plugging and unplugging the adapter from a power source quite helpful when trying to reset the lights. Other than that I am quite impressed with the lights and LIFX App

Compared to my experience with the Tiles, these were much easier to set-up. A fun piece of unnecessary, but awesome tech. I got stuck on updating the Beam for a bit, but restarting the updating/set-up process fixed this. Two cons: 1) the power cable downgrades the look a bit. I wonder if there's a way to make it less intrusive. 2) many of the themes for the Beam does not match well with the same themes for the Tiles. Images attached. I could make my own themes with the Draw functionality in the app, but that's more work on my part, where the built-in themes should work across all Lifx devices. Overall, still pleased with this product. Gives my computer set-up a nice look.

I absolutely love the LIFX Beam! It always gets compliments. I love how much it lights the room on its own. It is more than just a mood light, it is a piece of art on your wall. I would definitely recommend it!

Once you get it to work, its a great product. I liked the premium packaging. It comes in a reusable box with a magnetic flap. My main gripe is the setup--both physically and virtually, is very difficult. It's a lot harder than it looks. Getting the led bars levelled then connecting them together took a lot of trial and error. It turns out the adhesive strips were also hook and loop. The directions didn't specify this. They're basic Command hanging strips. Adding the strips in the software is also very difficult. It takes several tries. I had to do a soft reset in order to get it to work properly. Once setup though--it's pretty nice. Has a nice minimal look in my living room.

The Beam Kit was easy to set up. Having it integrated with Alexa made it easier. It is compatible with making it turn on when someone enters the room and modifies its colors depending on what I am doing on my computer.

I absolutely love these! Not much you can do with creativity but they are so pretty and get very bright! Colors are vibrant and they add the perfect touch to streams/just chilling in your room.

Great lights for my sons room. Been using them for a couple of years now and I’ve had no problems with them. Works great with the lifx app. Recommend

This light bar is crazy bright and the color accuracy is great! It’s worth the money if you have a good purpose for it!

I own one or more products from LIFX and love each and everyone of them. I just got the BEAM recently and really enjoy the lighting it provides in my office. You are limited in how many ways you can hook it up, but it has a much better sticking power than the LIFX Tile. probably because not only does it have the 3M stickies but also each beam has a magnetic end to it. Love, Love, LOVE it!!

I am happy with my purchase. They are bright and the flowing colors are fun to look at. Plus it was easy to attach to the wall set up with the app.

I love everything about this company and that includes the LIFX Beam! My favorite feature is the mixtures of colors that so far is only offered by LIFX. I'm fighting myself to not buy a second one!

Have had this for 5 months and couldn’t be happier. I was originally going to grab the Nanoleaf but this seemed a little more modern for my taste so I pulled the trigger on the Beam. Definitely going to order another set soon. I have a couple other LIFX bulbs and the app makes them fairly easy to control, never any connectivity or user issues.

Purchased the LIFX Wi-Fi Beam for a dark corner in our family room. The Beam was simple to install, sticky tape on each segment and magnetic ends that snap together. But as it turned out, it wasn't what the corner needed. Instead we used it to light a plant table in our living room.

Brilliant light with easy to use controls and ability to personalize. Biggest (and honestly, only) downside is you cannot save effects (strobe, movement) with your scenes, they’ll have to be activated manually. Using it for creative/music production so that would be ideal. Otherwise it’s the best light in my line up, considering purchasing another!

There are a lot of choices for aesthetic lighting out there, but this was hands down the easiest choice for me. The Beam is easy to set up, has tons of color and animation options, and the range from dim to bright is pretty wide. I find that I usually end up only setting these from 4% to about 15% brightness. Anything higher than that is super bright. So you don't have to worry about brightness. The colors are vibrant, and there is a wide range of colors to choose from. You can create your own color patterns, or choose from a selection of pre-made ones. I only wish that it came with more than one corner connector, so that I could have made a more unique looking beam arrangement. For the price, I think the price could be a bit lower, but compared to other products out there, it's an easier pill to swallow.

I was about to buy a Philips Hue Go Portable but then realized you need many add ons to that system, so as I looked around I found this product. There’s no demo in the store however the LIFX tile was a good enough demo to give me an idea of what this product was about: - WiFi capabilities - replace a regular lamp - make a space fun & interactive OK SURE. I was sold. Got home, set it up, no problem. I use 3M Velcro sticks all the time (not on the ceiling!), so those weren’t a problem. My main issue with this product is light color and application functionality. Light colors sometimes do not display correctly when they are chosen. Sometimes it’s a totally different color, and sometimes it’s a tone or three off of what I chose. That’s fine and all, however if you claim millions of colors make it so. While I’m on color, lemme talk about this app because it’s honestly kind of whack. The app that’s provided I’d say is kind of all over the place. There’s so much functionality that sometimes I think the lights even get lost on what I’m putting in via the app. Painting the colors is super cool, creating motion is super cool, and changing brightness is also super cool; I don’t have any majorly advanced ideas for this thing. Overall, I’d say this product has its flaws but for what it’s meant to do it’s pretty good.
