Our upload & download speeds for our wifi devices was 1/3 the speed promised by our internet provider. We decided to replace our router and selected a mid-price Linksys unit suggested by a Bestbuy associate. We had the Geek Squad come to our house and help us with the installation of the router, plus help with a few other tech challenges we were having. Once installed, our speeds increased tremendously, and we couldn't be happier with the Linksys and the Geek Squad.

I purchased this to upgrade my old Netgear that had been in faithful service for over 5 years, extremely reliable, great throughput, and never had an issue. As technology advanced and I started adding stuff like Roku and ChromeCast, I noticed it was time for an upgrade. I picked this because of the dual band and smart WiFi as now we have iPads, iPods, tablets, and all kinds of mobile stuff floating around, and signal coverage needed improvement. At the price I paid, I didn't expect the kind of connectivity I got (nearly gigabit speeds while transferring data between tablets and computers). Hi-Def streaming over WiFi is flawless, and I get range that reaches three city blocks away while I stay connected.

After setting up the router, I changed the router password and saved the configuration. When I went back in, it had not retained either the factory default or new password and locked me out. After a reset back to factory settings, the changes were again done and this time they held. From that point on everything has worked GREAT!

Router works great but be careful your cable company hooks it up properly. I had to have my cable service set up redone because of faulty installation. The router was not the fault as now all is well.

The router works great, haven't had any issues with performance. Set up is easy and app to access router and make adjustments to network using online connection when I'm not home has come in handy.

This is a great router. I have purchased other routers in the past and this is the best one thus far. It has 2.4 and 5G wifi networks. Instead of having to switch back and forth between networks it has one combined network you can use.

this is a really great router for the price. has a wide coverage area for any house or apt. easily customize-able easy to set up and is perfect for any of your wireless needs.

I think this is an excellent router, but I was having connection issues. Our ISP rep tried a variety of fixes that didn't solve the problem. He suggested that it "could" be the router. Even though he agreed this make & model was typically extremely reliable, the specific one I purchased might have been a dud. I exchanged the one I bought for another of the same make & model. So far, it's working just fine. Very easy to set up & use!

Range on 2.4Ghz band is great-much better than previous router. Speed on 5GHz is much slower than old router. On 5Ghz should be near same speed as direct connect of 90 Mbps and only get 20Mbps? Updated and tried changing channels-no change

Bought this to replace my aging Linksys router which was frequently dropping signal. Works as advertised with one odd trait. When my phone taps into it as wifi, some of apps, videos won't work. I suspect it's blocking certain ports it shouldn't, but not entirely sure.

This Linksys router is the best for the money, it is easy to setup and has great range. I link at least ten devices to it at all times without any drop in performance.

Just got this router last month and the performance is amazing! Love the fact that it has OpenVPN support as well, and it was super easy to set up. Highly recommend

Works great and has an online program to where you can switch it on/off at certain hours for kids, etc. it has great coverage as well. Easy setup. Highly recommend.

Was able to pick up this router on sale - It has a great performance standpoint from a higher end of the mid-grade router perspective. Dual band works well.

This router is easy to set up and connect computers, printer, tablets and phone to it. I replaced a small 6 year old machine and am glad for the upgrade. Best Buy's pricing made this an easy decision. The reception & performance of all my devices has improved.

Linksys has bee a go-to for small scale routers and AP's for a long time for me. We installed this on the inside of another firewall so that we could stand up a test environmnet for potetnial equipment and software. The reliability has been great and the configuration goes just deep enough to allow great flexibility without a lot of headache. I am not a fan of the configuration software that comes with the unit, probably because I am an actual IT person and not a standard consumer. But, you can bypass it and get straight into the "classic" config, so no real complaint from me on that count.

It was time to replace our old Linksys router in hopes of improving network performance. I immediately noticed that I can now start up my laptop from anywhere in our two story home and connect to the wireless network (Like I said, the old router was ready to retire).
