It has improved my speed from the teens to 30+ mb on Charter, but still way off of the 50 mb download speed I was hoping for. Constantly drops out on my computer, but not cellphone, which can connect at the 5ghz freq.

Thanks for sharing with us your experience with your Linksys EA6400. To improve its connection, let's tweak some settings on your router. It's possible that there are interference in the area that affects your WiFi. Please make sure that your 2.4GHz and 5 GHz network are set up with different names. Also change the wireless channel on your 2.4GHz network to either 1, 6, 9 or 11.
