Not so great for houses larger than 800 sqft

It was suggested this unit would greatly outperform and give better overall coverage on wifi. Not the case. Took it back and got an extender for the Netgear. Works great. However, I live in a old remodeled frmhouse with 12" stone walls. Still the Linksys would not even reach 25' down the hall, much less downstairs.

Physical obstruction and wireless interference can be the major factors and we can avoid this by relocating the router to a central location and adjusting its wireless settings. The range can be possibly affected by wireless interference. You may try changing the wireless channel of the router to 1, 6, 9 or 11 for the 2.4GHz network and 36, 40, 44 or 48 for 5GHz network. Those are the suggested non-overlapping channels.

Not a good router for its sale price

The 2.4 hz band it gives more speed. Also, I have and old bellkin router and it works better than this one. I returned this router thinking on buying other and better router
