Even though this router sits just below our bedroom, I have had to install an extender to get a stronger signal for the TV. I was hoping that this type of router would have been sufficient, considering it’s meantbto handle many devices.

The router is better than the one charter gave us.

We have Comcast, and the wireless router that they provide is very small, one antenna, and is very slow. We just bought this, from the time I walked in the door of my house, it might have taken 30 minutes or less to set up, and the automatic set up, step by step, was phenomenal! The speed alone from one website to another, and even just opening a page like Facebook is just so much faster, and the speed increase alone is well worth the money. Also, this one provides two wifi connections - one is our home, and the other is a guest network, which I think is fantastic because I run a business out of my house. The extra tools look great, will soon get into those, but like I said - easiest installation I have ever had with any router, speed is incredible, and easily worth the cost. I would HIGHLY Recommend this to anyone.

Worked ok for awhile, then began having constant interruptions. Finally got rid of it. It couldn't handle two computers at one time without lots of lag. Even increased my carrier to 500!

This is definitely better than the old one I had. However the sales person really talked this one up so I expected more. I think I could have went with one that was less expensive and still get the same wifi connection.

This router has excellent range and speed. Setup was a bit difficult, and the router wouldn't accept being renamed or a password change. I was compelled to leave the default in place to get through the setup. Still I like the Linksys products.

We were having problems accessing the internet and thought we needed a new wireless router. It turns out that we resolved the issue and the router was returned for a refund. It did seem like a great router for a fair price.

The 5 gHz network worked fine, but the 2.4gHz could not maintain internet connectivity. The wifi connection to the router was good, but it would repeatedly lose connectivity to the internet through the modem for about 1 minute every 5 minutes. Tech support gave me optimized settings, but my researched showed this to be an issue with various linksys routers, and everything seemed to point back to bad firmware. I wasn't willing to mess with this on a go-forward basis, so I returned it for another brand.

Too new? Needs new firmware to make it more stable. I believe I already wrote a review on this here. (Maybe not) But more and more issues have popped up since then. Been online with support already, (And if they respond to this review telling me to contact them for support only proves they don't really read the negative reviews) This starts out as being an easy "plug and play". Right off this bat I was only getting 1/3 of my ISP's speed. The default for media prioritization was limiting my speed, I had to get into settings and change downstream bandwidth to "0". What? Anyways that worked. Setting up a HD off the USB in the back was also a pain. After Hours and hours, finally got it up and running. But it's NOT stable. And now I find myself getting "the internet is down" few times a say. Only fix it to reboot router. I'm planning on using my old router until they release new firmware for it.
