The router should give you a solid wireless signal on a large house. There is a possibility that signal interference is what's causing your intermittent internet. Easy setup but dropped connection often

Ok wifi

Stopped working after 2 years

My internet is 100 mp. An once I changed the router it worked amazing so it was the router. Manufacturer customer service is horrible!

Needs to have more range

To boost the range of your Wi-Fi network, we recommend assigning fixed channels for both frequency bands to what will work best with your existing network environment. Try channels 1, 6, 9 and 11 for the 2.4 GHz band and channels 36, 40, 44, and 48 for the 5 GHz. Should you need a hand, tap us anytime at [email protected]. Decent Router

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First this router didn't last 3 weeks before it started turning off and needing rest or whatever before it restarts after unplugging several times for about 10 minutes. Second, this worthless item can not be returned after about 2 week in which had I known I would never have purchased in the first place. I have to quit buying from Best Buy as this happens often with many items. I stopped buying from Best Buy about 10 yrs or more ago due to same reasons and thought I would give them a try again. Live and learn! This item was bought NEW but didn't have the plastic cover on it as they should have so probably even been repaired before. Who knows?! Owned this item 2 months, used it only the first 5 weeks struggling with unplug/replug, reset etc etc etc. Went back to my $28.00 wireless for good connect with no problems until I can afford a better router. No more LINKSYS or BESTBUY.

Documentation lacking

Good basic router

My internet speed still dropped about 5mbps after covering 30 feet to my two smart TV sets so now I am purchasing broadband service of 40mbps and get less than 30mbps at my TVs. This works for 4K streaming of Netflix/You Tube.

There are a few factors that could cause the issue like a defective cable. We can try swapping the Ethernet cable from your modem to the Linksys router for isolation. Also, try to connect a computer directly to the modem and, check if you're getting a stable connection from there. Worked great... for a month.

I tried unplugging and restoring power to my modem and the router in that order, but still wouldn’t work. Called customer support. And, after wasting over an hour of my time, they told me they would have to make a Mac clone and figure this out. Also, they wanted to charge me to do this. I got a bad unit, and Linksys has bad customer support.
