I did NOT receive this product as a sample. I had to buy it. I got this to replace an old cheap Linksys WRT320N. Very old. It tested a consistent 94 Mbps. But my ISP told me it was time to get a new one. And I did want to get the faster WiFi for my phone. Everything else I have it hooked up ethernet. Same as old router, no changes made. All tests done with this one are around 60 Mbps! Not even close to old router. If you don't really need a faster WiFi. I wouldn't buy this. Pro: I am getting a better Range on WiFi and faster WiFi Speed. Setup is simpler. Con: Much slower Ethernet on Downstream and sometimes equal speed to older Linksys WRT320N on the Upstream. It really doesn't make any sense why it's doing this..but it is.

I was given this router in exchange for my honest review. There are many great things about the Linksys AC1750 MU-MIMO router. Right out of the box, it was easy to set up. It took about 90 seconds for me to have it up and running. The user interface at linksyssmartwifi.com is extremely clear and well thought out. I was able to customize my passwords, name the router, and set up guest access without having to read through a lot of instructions. Firmware updates can take place automatically or you can check for updates manually. I live in a 2 story 3900 sq ft. house, and I haven’t found a router yet that will give me great signal in every room. However, the signal from this router does reach upstairs, in the room directly above our office, and the response time from this router is better on the 2nd floor than it is with the Netgear 22 5G that I have been using. I can easily stream Netflix while my kids are gaming in two different rooms. One aspect of the online interface that I really appreciate is the media prioritization function. I can give priority to my husband’s desktop (where he is working remotely) so that if anyone experiences a delay, it won’t be him. This router offers parental controls which allow the user to set time parameters where any online devices will be allowed or blocked. There is also a place to enter any specific websites that you want to block, but as with many other internet nannies, you have to type in the exact address of each website. It doesn’t have any kind of content filter. There’s nothing groundbreaking in these parental controls, but I added Circle with Disney, and it helps tremendously. I attached an external hard drive via LAN to use for Time Machine backups. There is also a USB 3.0 port on the back of the router that is for external storage. I was able to successfully use a thumb drive in that port, but my WD My Passport was not recognized by the router. This router also offers out of home access, which allows you to remotely log into your system. However, I wasn’t able to figure out how to access it, and I didn’t see any instructions for it on Linksys’s website. If the thought of someone accessing your files from outside of your house makes you uncomfortable, you can disable remote access online at linksyssmartwifi.com. I would recommend this router, but not for someone with a large house. You can always add extenders, but it's frustrating to constantly have to switch from one network to another as you move around the house.

I had been using the modem/router combo from my cable provider. With more devices being used in my house it couldn't keep up and was always bogged down. I picked this router because it appeared to have the bandwidth and range that I was looking for. It was an easy choice especially since it was on sale. Once I installed it I couldn't be happier. I'm getting much better speeds and range than I thought I would. Set up was simple and easy. Would definitely recommend.

I was skeptical about how much a new router may help with our home's internet, but I am certainly glad I purchased this router. We have a 3 story townhouse and had a gateway on the middle floor with weak signal. This router was easy to set up and has made a huge difference. Doesn't matter how many devices are connected, Internet speeds are fine. The app for the phone is also a useful tool to have. I would recommend this router to anyone looking.

I received a free sample of this router from Linksys in return for my honest feedback. Short Version: This router replaced a Linksys E4200 Wifi router purchased in 2011. Objective was to get better Wifi performance. I did see that and am quite happy with the result. Long version: 2 story house with router on top floor connected to 10Mb DSL from telco. Numerous wired devices connected to gigabit ethernet switch connected to router. Numerous WiFi devices of all vintages from old netbooks to laptops to iPhones and iPads. The biggest problem with the old router was the low WiFi signal strength in some outlying areas of the house and in an apartment in a detached garage. This had gotten worse over time as interference from neighbors' signals increased. Everything worked but sometimes rather slowly. Installation of the new EA7300 router was simple using LinkSys Smart Wifi. Just plugged it in place of the old router and copied over a few settings from the setup application for the old router. Unsurprisingly the wired configuration continued to work at full speed as expected. For WiFi I noticed two big differences. 1) Range and speed was better on the 5GHz band. In the past devices inside the house and immediately outside capable of use on 5GHZ were often run on the 2.4 Ghz band to get a stronger connection. That was no longer needed. 2) Speed increased on the 2.4 GHz band. The apartment in the detached garage now had a faster and more solid connection and the same for older laptops in outlying areas of the house. These devices did not support 5Ghz but I may try it some day. I was quite happy with the final result. Should have upgraded sooner.

I was looking for replacement for my old router that was having range issues. As we now stream HD I was also looking for better bandwidth. The sales person was very helpful explaining my options, and we settled for this one. Setup was a breeze and we were up and running in minutes. The range now covers the entire house and we can stream HD on two televisions and surf the web on multiple devices, all at the same time with no glitches.

Great dual band router, easy to manage network

I received this router as a free sample in exchange for my honest feedback. This router is an upgrade to my previous Linksys E900. I thought the E900 worked well, but I never knew how great I could have it. With the AC1750 I am able to monitor my network with my smart phone, and keep track of who is on my network, or who might be trying to get on my network. The dual bands are a great feature, as well as the ability to have guest Wi-Fi as well. None of these options were available on my previous router. I love the ability to limit the times my teenager can use the Wi-Fi through the Parental Control option. The only thing I don't like with the Parental Control, is that you have to login to a computer to limit specific times on a specific device. You can only use the app on your smartphone to limit specific sites, which is a great feature, but it would be much easier if you were able to limit the times in the app, too. The signal is more than sufficient for multiple smartphones, laptops, and an iPod to all use it at the same time without any hint of slowing down. Other than not being able to use the app for all of the Parental Control features, the only other issue I have with this wonderful router is the instructions. When setting it up you have to be smarter than the instructions. Step 2 tells you that the light on the router will go solid, and then you proceed to the next step. However, the light will never go solid until you are totally finished setting it up and hooked to the internet. Don't get frustrated when setting it up, and even if you do, the Customer Service support is a great help. I highly recommend this router.

I got this router hooked up to the Netgear CM600 modem, and get great usage out of it! I have the 150Mbps speed from my ISP, on the 5G band i get between 140-184Mbps, and on the 2.4G band I get a constant 50Mbps. Personally, I wish I would of seen the AC1900 from Linksys before I saw this one, but I'm beyond happy with what I got! No connections dropped, high speeds, and the Smart WiFi is awesome on setting up your band settings!

Good WiFi Router for a beginner

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I received this free WiFi router from Linksys in exchange for my feedback. Out of the box, I was impressed with the looks and the size. I previously owned a smaller Linksys single band router and it was getting old so am happy to receive a new one. The new one is very modern looking and I like the three antennas on the top of it. Though I am mostly self taught with tech devices and a little apprehensive about connecting up something new, this Router was very simple to connect. I had no problems with doing that. Also connected to my wireless Epson printer easily. I have never had a dual band router before so didn't know what to expect. I have an iPad mini, and iPhone 7plus and a laptop. I am a care giver for my mother. We both live in a ranch style condo next to one another. So I like to be able to use my iPad, IPhone and laptop while sitting with her. There are three walls between my router and my mother's condo. So far they are connecting with the new Linksys router. I have a guest password in order to do that. I have had disconnects while at my Mother's condo and need to change to one or the other band occasionally. Not sure why. But I do get a connection with either band and when I lose connection I am able to switch to the other band and get connected again. I also recently purchased a ROKU Stick and was able to connect easily to the new Linksys Router. Though I have not been able to use the ROKU much yet it does seem to be working fine. So far so good and I appreciate Linksys for giving me this Router and giving me the opportunity to do a review on it.

The router was very easy to setup. Once it's plugged in and loads new firmware, it goes through several screens where you customize the name and passwords. It's very easy. The range is good for my house that's an 1800 sq-ft ranch. It handles multiple devices well. I have an xbox one hardwired and 3 phones all the time as well as a wireless printer. There's also a roku connected sometimes. It can handle more when we have friends over. This router was provided to me in exchange for my honest review.
