I really needed a new router, but put off buying it. Then, I was offered a new Linksys router if I would give an honest review of it. I readily accepted, and so here I am. This MAX-STREAM provides the connectivity I need even out in the back yard where I work on my patio. The increased speed is another plus. I am retired and use my computer mainly for information and to stay in contact with my family. My needs are simple and our home is small so I don't expect a router to do anything special, but the MAX-STREAM surprised me with performance I was not expecting. I am very pleased, to say the least.

We got the Linksys - Wireless-AC1750 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router a few days ago and set up was really easy. I can set devices on one of two channels and not have any device in my home bogged down. Good on price too

I have always used Netgear but my last 2 kept kicking me off the network and would need reset. This one is very easy to set up and has been very reliable so far.

Made the decision to separate cable modem and router. This router proved to be a great choice. Terrific performance, very easy installation. Great all around!

You get two options for wifi- always use the 5G and you won't have any issues. Setup was easy, the app is cool to use as well

Bought it because my Netgear router wasn't working right. So far, no issues, it performs flawlessly and setup was very intuitive and easy.

Box said it was for a smaller home, but I can go to my garage and still get a great signal! Great speeds! Recommend getting this router!

Purchased this router and have had no issues. I pay for 150mbps and I get about 180mbps with this router. Very easy to customize as well.

Love the ease of the install and the mobile app to access your settings. Streaming has been a breeze using multiple devices at once.

Very easy to setup! Also allows wi-fi connections all over the house with no issues. Netflix/Amazon streaming via wifi has no issues.

I did my research...far too much research. I didn't need anything that was top of the line, but I also didn't want to cheap out. I settled on the Linksys and I have full confidence I made a great decision for the money. I have had absolutely no issues with me wifi since installation. No more bouncing between using my wifi and eating up my cell phone data anymore. My entire apartment gets a full signal. Even the cars on the street could stream netflix from the stop light outside. This id a fantastic router.

After reading reviews on various routers, I decided on this one because it was under $150 and had the new MU-MIMO technology. This replaced my old Linksys EA3500. My old router was rated at 300 Mbps + 450 Mbps. This one is rated at 450 Mbps + 1300 Mbps. Not only does is it able to deliver over 1000 Mbps more, but it also connects to all my devices without buffering. Read up on the difference between SU-MIMO and the new MU-MIMO because it is a huge difference if you have multiple devices to connect to. Very pleased.

I received a free sample from Linksys in exchange for my honest feedback. I am coming from an older Asus wifi router. The 2.4GHZ wireless on this Linksys is stronger than the Asus, that was expected as it was Wireless N vs AC on the Linksys. I got faster download speeds on the Linksys as expected but the 5GHz range on it was disappointing. I was hoping to take advantage of the new 5G radio by moving my faster wireless devices over to it but it doesn't reach throughout my entire home. I have about 2500sqft, so I am forced to use the 2.4GHZ in the far back room if I want a consistent connection. I've had this running for about a month and it has been steady so far. I like that the Local Network allows you to change the nework range from 192.168.x.x network to whatever range you want. Media prioritazion allows you to give bandwidth priority to select devices, which is good for me. I have about 25 devices on my home network. External storage option allows you to connect a protable usb 3.0 drive to it to make into a shared netowrk drive. Access speeds to the drive are pretty good over wifi too. I like the option to turn activity lights to the switch ports off on the router, this means you can place this in your TV room or bedroom that your ISP installed your modem at and not be distracted by blinking lights when trying to sleep or wacth TV. It offers guest wireless for both 2.4 & 5GHz, and still includes the option to disable broadcasting of the wifi SSID. Now for the things I don't like: I am not a fan of the "smart Wifi" interface where it pushes you to create a Linksys account online and use that to login to the router to get started. It is convienient if you are not familiar with routers or LAN's and want an automated setup. I am more of a techy and like to customize my setup and configure manually and locally - it does offer the option to confiugre manually though. The Parental Controls is somewhat limited. You have to enter websites that you want to block maunually per device hostname. I wish it offered the option of uploading a file with a list of websites, but I can imagine the more sites you add it would probably tax the router down. I have about 25 devices on my home network and although this is a "MU-MIMO" router, I did notice a slowdown on speeds and buffering when testing multiple 1080p HD streams to my media-server and 4K Youtube/Netflix streaming at the same time with a mix of wired and wifi devices. The average home user probably only has about 5 -8 devices so this shouldn't be an issue. Firewall options are limited to Enabled or not. I wish at least one manufacturer would offer a home wifi router that offers a vlan option to support more than one Local network. Today's hardware should be able to handle it, some DDWRT supported routers support this. Overall this is an OK router that would suit most home user's needs that does well in the 2.4GHz range coverage versus some of the competition.

Was easy to get up and working. Was not sure about a couple security aspects so called linksyst and they were able to help me get all going perfectly. The range of the router covers all rooms in house with 1500 sq ft up and same on second floor. Was asked if had booster cause range was so good and I do not need a booster. All is good

Needed to replace an outdated router. Set up was so fast and easy and it boosted out Internet speed emmensely! Great purchase!

this was very easy to set up right out of the box. This router gave up a huge improvement over our previous wireless N router.
