The set-up was simple and very user friendly. That's about all that was good about this router. From day 1 it would hold an internet connection for about 2-3 hours before dropping. I would have to reboot my devices and the router multiple times to get them back for internet use. Although the Help desk was very nice and knowledgeable I have to admit that a normal user should not have to go through the steps they had me go through. I had to set a single channel and media prioritization along with a few other steps. Which still did not correct the issue. This should not have been necessary considering I did not have this issue with an older and much less robust router. I don't know if this is a firmware issue or a hardware issue, But I will not be using it ever again. Stay away from this one, it needs work.

One factor could be an outdated firmware. Try to update and reboot the router afterwards. Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We got this Linksys AC1750 (EA7300) to replace a 6 year old Linksys E2000. We have always had Linksys routers and really wanted to like this one. Setup was easy and speed is good. But it drops internet connection randomly every few minutes on different computers even though they are still fully connected to the router. It is totally unusable. None of our computers/devices can get internet connection for more than a few minutes at a time. Then it may take several minutes before the internet connection is resumed. Problems persist even when we tried having only one computer connected. Thinking it was defected, we exchanged it for a replacement.. But the second one has exactly the same problem. Firmware is up-to-date. Very disappointed. Our old E2000 is more reliable even though slow.
