Coverage throughout the house
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was forced to get a router by my ISP, so I wasn't sure what I needed. When I got to the store, the clerk helped me find this router. I asked for something simple, that an idiot could work. She pointed me to this one, pointing out the app that controls it from anywhere. Setting it up for the first time was a snap, and now I have Wi-Fi throughout my house, even better coverage than I did with my ISP Wi-Fi..

Worked for an hour, but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This worked for about an hour, but then started dropping the connection. [Reset] It then worked for about 20 minutes before dropping. [Reset] Then 10, then immediately. When it worked, I did not really notice a speed increase, but I have only 10 Mbps to my (old) N300 router and only a few devices in the house. Another use was to connect my EZ-Dock to it, but it did not recognize it. I brought it back. The "but..." I tried two other Linksys routers after this one and they both failed to connect, one like the first one and the other only lasted 15 minutes, and neither recognized either of my EZ-Dock ports (USB & eSATA). I called my cable company and the guy said, "Your cable is bad." Meaning the one between the cable modem and the router. I thought that odd because cables do not go bad very often. And it is CAT-6, but @ 8 years old. I purchased a new cable and the first thing I noticed was the Link light on the cable modem went from amber to green (meaning a faster connection speed). So he may have been right. But I haven't got up the gumption to try another router again just yet.

Posted .Hi, RetiredTechie,
The EA7300 is expected to deliver a stable and reliable connection once it's set up. We understand that you have already returned the unit. Our Escalation Engineers could have helped you get the router to work at its best. On the other hand, it appears that you were able to resolve the issue with your EZ-Dock by purchasing a new cable.
Please email us your contact information at LinksysCares@linksys.com so that we can get you over to our team. We would like to make sure that your other two Linksys routers will perform as expected. Indicate the link to this review for our reference.
Regards,
Kristine

Good range and reliability
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Compared to my prior router (older NetGear), I've had a huge increase in the distance reached by even the 5GhZ bandwidth in an old history house. I have also had a very minimal amount of times that the router has skipped in and out of internet access. I can count maybe 1 or two times it's had any issue, but resolved itself within a few minutes. Very satisfied.

Excellent & Powerful Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The max stream ac1750 is a killer fast router that can handle a wide variety of tasks without slowing down. I use this to wirelessly control a laptop running Mainstage, X32 Digital Mixer, and wireless LED light during indoor drumline performances. At great distances from the equipment, this puppy allows easy control due to its spectacular wifi distance.
