Had an older Netgear router that gave up the ghost so needed to replace PDQ. This unit was on sale and at $105 was affordable plus in stock at the store. I reviewed the specs of it and it's competitors and saw very little difference so went with this one. I have had Linksys in the past and they were reliable. This one seems to be as well I managed to pull it off the shelf onto the floor ( a drop of about 12") and no problems seen. Set up went very quickly and I encountered no issues with getting all wireless equipment recognized and automatically connecting to it. The whole process was about 4 hours including 8 computers and tablets. Like the dual band and have used it to improve through put on the laptops. I benchmarked the Net Gear router some time ago and compared this unit to it. (use Comcast) appears to be about 10-15% faster based on the numbers. Just using it no perceived differences between it and the older router it just works. Distance is good it is upstairs and laptops connect no problem on all 3 levels as well as the basement and out on the deck.

This Router has great coverage and was very easy to setup. I had a Night Hawk AC1750 and I like this router much better and was less expensive. If your laptop or Desktop does not support AC wi/fi buy an AC Wi/Fi nano dongle at Best Buy for around $20 to get full bandwidth from your ISP.

Easy setup. Good range. I haven’t had to use the range extender that I needed for my previous router.

Easy to connect and start using. My Wifi was always going out while streaming tv.I have this cable company that also provides internet. Many calls were made to them to upgrade, speed up and replace modem. None of that helped. I was at a supermarket and I was approached to see what cable company I had at home, I told him it was the one he represented. He said good, how was the service? I told him it was bad, not in these words. Lol. What he said next surprised me. He asked if we use their router, I said yes. He then looked at me and smirked, that's why it goes in and out, our routers are no good, the company got a great deal with the router company but they have issues. He recommended I go buy one. I chose this for the reviews and cost. It's been a month and not one buffering. I kept the cable company router for the rest of the family and this one for my tv and hand held electronics. I wish I knew about the router issue sooner.

I have been using a Linksys E4200 for several years and it has always been reliable a workhorse. That said, doing internet speed tests using it's wifi connection always showed speeds which were less than half the speed I was getting from a wired connection. Having been quite happy with the old Linksys router i figured I would stay with the brand and the EA7300 was in my price range. With this new EA7300 my wifi connected devices' internet speeds have nearly doubled and at times nearly match my wired device speeds. It was easy to do the swap as well...pretty much plug and play for my simple setup. During initial setup, i just needed to change the new router's wifi ssid and security settings/ password to match the old router. Wifi devices connected to the new router without needing to do anything further.
I just wish I had done it sooner as the improvements, to both the connection speed and wifi range, have been quite noticeable.

This is not a WRT Series router, but for the price you cannot go wrong. It covers my 2,000sq foot home, to the point where I can sit in my driveway and browse the web at decent enough speeds to stream video. The app makes management a snap.

This Linksys offers a lot for the price you pay, great range, FAST speeds, easy setup & configuration.
Out of the box and up and running in 20 minutes and that was done manually, no setup wizard used!
Never drops a packet.
Highly recommended.

This thing was super-easy to set up and performs well. It took an already weak wifi signal and was able to extend it throughout the entire house, which is older, with thicker walls and outdated material in between. I would recommend this purchase.

This replaced an antiquated unit that gave us much trouble if we wanted to use devices in the back bedrooms (ranch-style house). This router has such a strong signal, it works in the bedrooms, the front yard and the spa, which is thirty feet away from the house. We also like that it has a feature to accept range extenders (as if you'd need one) that sends the signal even farther. Very satisfied.

Looks like there are 2 versions of this router, with & w/o antennae(?) This review is for the router WITH 3 Antennae. This replaced a 5yr old Netgear router, and was easy to set up & get started. After reading the instructions, set up was even easier than expected. The router 'found' everything on my home network (printers, computers, TV, & game system) & connected easily & seamlessly. Changing over from the old router was not an issue at all. Security features were also easy to set up, and I was up & running in minutes! Speeds seem a bit faster than my old router (but it WAS 5+ years old) & connecting to the router is 'automatic' once your devices are set up. If you happen to have issues, I've dealt with Lynksys support in the past, and they've always been helpful. (They weren't needed in this case) Definitely recommend this router for its features and ease of installation & use.

I used the trade in program to get this router 15% off as an upgrade. My internet speed went from 90 mbps to 121 mbps with this router. It has easy software to navigate and was simple to set up. It's been perfect for our apartment with no dead spots.
