Replaced my 10 old Apple routers with these, the coverage and speed improvement is amazing. Set up is easy with app. When I move around the house or outside with my iPhone it automatically switches to the strongest node without any interruption. Like switching cell towers. If I go far enough from the house outside it switches from 5Ghz to 2,4Ghz automatically. I can stream video with no pauses moving around. Inside I get wi-fi download speeds over 750mbs. Over 200ft away from the house on 2.4Ghz I get 130mbs. The app shows all devices, which node and band they are using. I am very pleased overall. It is a bit pricy but quality is very good. I have been using the 2 pack for about 5 weeks.

Replaced my Linksys Velop Tri-Band AC Mesh system after it started having connection issues. This setup comes with 2 of the WiFi 6 units and I've observed much stronger and more stable connections for all my devices across the house. I also have my work laptop hardwired to the child node (the one not connected to the cable modem) and am getting speeds over 500mbps on average (vs up to 1 gigabit at the modem). This is very good for a mesh system. My old AC Velops had issues when my work setup was like this, specifically with screen / video sharing on Zoom. This resolved all those issues! The only complaint I have on this system is the price, but I'm paying for cutting edge Wi-Fi tech and WFH has made that worth it.

I love this router. It’s fast and pretty straightforward setting up. Make sure you read the instructions on hooking up legacy equipment to WiFi.

If you are looking to take your mesh network to the next level with fewer towers, this is your answer. Speeds are awesome and setup is a breeze.

This product works great, it has great range throughout my whole house and the speed beat 2 netgear mesh systems. I definitely recommend this product. It was very easy to set it up.

Our home has an awkward layout and unfortunately, our cable modem is situated on the opposite side as our family room and we also have a basement. Before using the Linksys system, we’d get terrible internet speeds in our family room despite paying for 300Mbps and having a modem that could handle 275Mbps. We installed the Linksys router, one in our office and one in the family room. We are getting 320Mbps in our family room and 150Mbps in our basement. Before the Linksys system, the most we’d get in our basement was 35-50 Mbps, so it’s a huge improvement. We added an extra one in our hall for signal consistency to the bedrooms on one side of our house. I highly recommend these.

Way better than previous system. Very easy to install and great range/performance Only wish you could add another node (have two, need one or two more) easily EXPENSIVE but performance upgrade rocks!

Excellent range and speed. Consequently, I didn't need the second device to cover the whole hose. Will pass the second device off to my brother. Very happy with the purchase and quick delivery.

They are a expensive but works great. They do not cover that much that says in the Box, may be for the walls but it keeps the internet fast

I had the Giggle WiFi system (had 6 nodes) in my 6-bedroom 4 story house and it worked OK but certainly was strained since in most places, even though I have a 1 gigabit pipe (which consistently test over 940+ at the source) coming in, I was only getting 40-50 MB speed on the wifi around the house. I have nearly 80 items (including many 4K TVs and video cameras) on the network so the network needs to be tough. So, I tried Orbi WiFi 6 and it was horrible - would keep reseting and dropping connections. So then I got this (now have 4 nodes including the one connected to the modem) and it works fantastic! Now testing 400+ throughout the house and no drops or anything!

Great coverage and always connected. Now also supports homekit and also allows for two ssids. Great wireless solution for the home. Getting higher speeds than provided by isp.

Tried the Netgear Nighthawk AX12 and the Arris Surfboard AX11000. Finally tried the Linksys MX10 and found a product that works great. Long range and the satellite doesn’t drop off.

This is an expensive upgrade - but the coverage of these is amazing and the system seems very stable. Also speed is great in all areas of my 3400 SF home. Well worth the investment!

Before I bought this Linksys mX6 WiFi 6 kit, I’ve just about tried every other brand before I got it! I’ve tried the netgear Orbi WiFi 6 version 3X and every time it failed on me. Even their night hawk WiFi 6 didn’t work for me. This mesh kit works flawlessly! Ever since I’ve had it, it gives me zero issue and it just works! I have about 35 devices hooked up to it and it’s a dream come true. If you are on the fence on what to get, trust me, and do yourself a favor and get this. Last router you will have to buy!

This was able to cover my entire house and backyard. Was able to use the Ethernet ports to hard wire multiple devices.

I used to have a Netgear nighthawk ac1900 extending my network where the ISP device provided the original WIFI signal, leaving me with 4 Wifi signals being broadcast in my house (2x from the 2 bands on Nighthawk & 2 from the ISP's device (primary and a guest network) which was 4 names/passwords and this setup would regularly experience short disruptions, buffering, etc. and often times had to restart applications or my TV when these happened to recover which I'm sure was related to the WIFI interruptions. I changed the setup by disabling the ISP WIFI & connecting one MX10 via ethernet to the modem and placed the other node in my basement. I no longer have any disruptions; I don't have much that uses Wifi 6 to get that additional benefit, but I plan to get a new phone with Wifi 6 this year and I expect many devices will have the new standard in the near future. The setup app helps confirm the node location has good signal which was nice since I was just guessing with the old device and this actually let me move it one room further away where I could use the node's ethernet out to connect a couple devices. The only issue I've had so far was the initial setup where I would have to wait several minutes only to have the nodes not be able to see each other and give me the suggestion to move them closer to get the initial setup done; the only problem was that after the first time this happened, they were half an inch apart and my phone was resting on them so it wasn't an obstruction problem. I recommend finding the option to update firmware before attempting to add a node and doing that first since this is what likely let them pair in the end and you will want to do this at some point in the setup anyway. I'm sure it is missing some advanced app/security/parental control type features, but the App did have some ability to designate a couple devices with priority signal & gave some basic visibility into what was going on in the network.

I have gigabit internet and when it works, I get around 500-650Mbps when close to the main unit and around 350Mbps with the satellite at a distance. That said, I have consistent Wi-Fi connection issues. It seems to just drop Wi-Fi at least once a day for at least a minute(ethernet still seems to be working during this). Sometimes it’ll happen every 5 minutes after the first drop. That’s when I know I would have to reboot as soon as I get a connection via the Linksys app. I’m currently using the MX10 system in router mode and it maybe the reason why I’m having these Wi-Fi issues. It must not be able to handle all the work. I previously had the Orbi RBK50 system with an extra RBS50 satellite and had the same issues with connection when used in router mode. AP mode on the Orbi fixed the issues but having my ISP’s gateway handling routing wasn’t ideal for me. After upgrading my internet and no longer having a gateway and just having a modem and my Orbi back into router started causing me troubles again. So I decided to get the MX10 to change things up. Seems to not be the case. I’ll be buying a router today and putting the MX10 into AP mode and see if that’ll fix it. If it doesn’t, I still have 2 weeks left to return it(I’ve had this since November, but since it’s holiday season Best Buy allows for extended time on returns.) I should’ve just bought a router and kept my Orbi RBK50 which worked great in AP mode/but struggled like the Velop in router mode.

Hi, zinorl,
An up to date firmware might help to improve the stability of the connection as well as running the channel finder. If not, allow us to have our Escalation Engineers run a diagnosis to isolate the challenge. Just send us an email at LinksysCares@linsys.com along with your contact information and a link to this review as a reference.

The Linksys AX5300 works flawlessly in my two story home. I had been using another mesh wireless system that was not up to the task. Being a tri-band system, it is able to handle the demands of many devices without an issue. I gave this 4 stars because it wasn't as easy to set up as the instructions imply. It took two days to get it working. The first day was just to get the first tower operational (as a router) and a second day to get the second system connected to the first. If it weren't for the excellent support from Linksys, I would have taken the system back. The steps I was directed to take my Linksys Support were not included in any included installation instructions nor anywhere online. It took the Linksys tech to direct me to some higher level functions to get them to operate as intended. After getting the router functioning after several hours of telephonic assistance, the Tech then made an appointment to call the next day to connect the second tower. She called on-time, was patient, and clearly knew the system. I prefer "plug and play" systems, and I understand some people have no issues with installation. It is great to know that Linksys stands behind this product and are willing to spend hours working with the customer until they are satisfied. Linksys is superb in their support.

The best quality with the widest range. Much better than Google Nest or any Netgear router. It’s pretty expensive, but then it’s the best. I’ve tried them all.
