The Linksys RE4100W-4A has brought a really strong Wi-fi to the remote part of my house. Signals are great now! Setup was a breeze, taking no more than 5 or so minutes. I opted to have the seamless wi-fi SSID, and it really is seamless. I can be connected to my main router in one room, move my laptop through the house to the remote area and find that I'm not only still connected to the same SSID, but I now have the link through the extender without losing (dropping) anything in between, and a really strong (=speedier) signal. I have not encountered anything that would be considered a disadvantage. I would definitely recommend this extender for anyone with a wi-fi dead spot or wishing to extend their network beyond what the main router can support.

This was so easy to set up, takes less than 5 minutes. It has surprisingly long range for its size.

My mom asked me to help her get wi-fi throughout her large house on the ocean, After looking online I couldn't tell one from the other so went in to the store, told them what I needed & got a quick, honest response from the salesperson. But...the "easy setup" described took some time getting done, frustrating at times. After I finally figured it out, it's been working great in her L-shaped house, allowing full access everywhere!

Notice the green light on the picture. The light on mine is orange which leads me to wonder if it's picking up my wireless network. I wanted to extend my wireless network to my back yard so I purchased the Linksys - N600 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Range Extender. After trying to install it myself I managed to lose the wireless network I did have. I called Linksys the next day we worked to repair my wireless router signal and then install the N600. The Range Extender is presently 17ft from my wireless devise and still not catching the signal (orange light). The wireless signal IS improved outdoors but not consistent. The inconsistency could be the result of variable cable signal strength. My Linksys router was super easy to install with a secure signal. This extender device should have been as easy as searching for and finding my existing network and connecting to it with my network password but of course it wasn't that easy.

For the price I was surprised. Worked O.K. Got WIFI a little better in second floor.

Great way to extend your wifi signal to other parts of your location. Setup was easy.

This range extender helped us get better coverage in some dead spots in our home. Even though the new Linksys router I got should more than handle a 3,200 sqft. home there are always some back rooms that don't seem to get adequate coverage.

Inexpensive solution to my WiFi signal strength problem. However, instructions for connecting a bit incomplete, even the online version. But not too hard and once linked to my home network, everything worked well. I then bought one for my son's loft apartment.
