I do not have cable in my house so everything I watch is streamed by either Hulu, Netflix, or computer and I haven't had any issue with the signal strength and picture quality. All my wireless devices have even received a speed boost in the way of faster page loads

Easy basic set up. Up and running in ten minutes. Big improvement over six year old router. Only reason I didn't give it five stars is I can't figure out how to change the router channel to better serve my TV streaming device.

You can never go wrong with this product brand or the pricing offered by Best Buy. The minimal limitation for bandwidth and interference that an IT professional or heavy multiple device household found in this intermediate product offering greatly out weights the cost for higher level models. This does the job in a 2800 SQFT house with 7 wireless devices connected at all times. (This includes simultaneous usage of 3 TV’s streaming video, heavy online PS3 gaming and one constant social media user in our house.) Ease of use is the best part of this brand and model. For those of us with a significant other who is “technically challenged”, it is extremely easy for them to keep connectivity up and running so that the entire family is happy when I am at work or traveling.

This router is relatively easy to set up and is priced about equal to other manufacturers. The 5 MHz band has about half the range of the 2.4 MHz band (expected). Very compact in size compared to others.

We purchased this router to replace another Linksys that was 10+ years old. The set up was simple and we brought it online quickly. The overall size is good...very skinny and doesn't take up much room. After a few weeks it stopped working for some reason. We called Linksys and found out it was a software issue which they offered to replace. Best Buy exchanged it without question which was much faster so we went this route. The new router is working fine. Would recommend Best Buy for customer service. It is #1. Would recommend the router also for the money.

Owned this router for about 2 months. Great speed, no drop connections at all. Have about 7 devices that constantly operate on wifi. I don't have a fast speed broadband but the router makes the connection faster than the wifi modem alone.

Pros: So this dual-band router is inexpensive and seems to work well. We have coverage throughout our 1,800sf home. The router is centrally located. The default setup is quick and easy and we were up and running in just a few minutes. Cons: I have only set up one other router and it was our old Asus dual-band that lasted three years. We picked this new router because it had pretty good reviews and the brand was recommended by my IT guy at work. Performance is comparable to our old Asus (with which we were very happy). But the default setup does not seem to give us access to the 5Ghz frequency. All our devices default to the only available router on the 2.4 Ghz band. Our old Asus was really easy to set up for the dual bands and we were able to select which band we wanted for each device. The instructions with our new one are much more cryptic and without doing a bunch of research, I'm afraid to just start clicking on the custom settings. The band selection is important because running a microwave tends to disturb 2.4Ghz signals, so devices streaming anything on the 2.4 band tend to lose their connection when you use the microwave. In summary, good performance, but I wish it was more clear on how to set up the separate bands.

I was seeking a router that would accommodate my needs, including an appropriate speed, but that would not cost too much. This item was easy to install and was up and running in minimum time. I would recommend using this router to anyone needing one specifically for home usage. I did not keep the item as my Internet Service organization provided one when I upgraded to a higher internet speed line. It of course was not necessary to have two routers. Therefore, it was returned. Again, the product is very good and the service from Best Buy excellent.

We bought this router for the lake house and it works well. Decent range on both ends of the house (router in the middle) and the back porch. Streams netflix well and surfs the internet pretty quickly.

    Decent Router For the Price

I've purchased several Cisco/Linksys products in the past and have been satisfied with them for the most part. This particular router did not meet a few key requirements that I have. I am an IT professional (High Performance Computing), so I know that I can be a little persnickety about certain things, but I will be fair in this assessment. Pros: 1. We do a lot of streaming media in our house with Roku's and PCs and the router handled that just fine. 2. It was easy to set up out of the box, and the software was not too shabby. The configuration of the firewall of also rather easy and straightforward. 3. The 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports on back were convenient as well. Cons: 1. There was an issue with the PCs consistently losing their Wi-Fi connection to this router. Evert two or three days I would have to power cycle the router in order to reestablish connectivity with PCs. Even then it might take several attempts before the network would show up as Home instead of unknown or Public. I checked o see if the DHCP settings were configured improperly, but that wasn't the issue. This problem occurred with Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, CentOS 7.0, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4. I still haven't figured out the root cause. 2. Had difficulty with Guest access working as it was advertised. 3. Accessing my Network Attached Storage (NAS) was slower than it should have been. Overall: This router performs about as expected considering its price. I have since moved to an ASUS brand AC router, and am pleased with that.
