I came from a pretty good router already: the Nighthawk AC1900. It wasn't bad by any means...but I started expanding my smart home systems and it wasn't able to take the increasing load of my devices. So I started to look for the next best thing and that when I found the linksys Velop. I loved the integration with Alexa and ability to easily create guest networks and control what devices are on the network and kick out devices that don't belong.

I had a single Velop ac2200 from a previous install for a friend. I bought a 2 pack and the only issue I had was that I had to update firmware on the old one and everything was all set. The Linksys app is easy to use, but you need a different email address for each network so if you help someone set theirs up make sure you use their email address.

You need to use an app to setup the routers and you need to make any changes you must do so on the app. This is great until you have to troubleshoot an error with your wifi and your phone cannot communicate with the devices. However, Linksys customer support was great and resolved my issue swiftly.

After trying to push WiFi around our large property using extenders, I switched to the Velop mesh network. It was expensive but it does a good job. I am able to move around the property and always be connected to WiFi without having to manually switch my smartphone to another SSID and PW.

Purchased two tower system to spread wifi signal in my old house (thick plaster and brick walls - lots of obstructions) System recommended by very knowledgeable staff (Jay) - Linksys customer support walked me through set up - system works great!

I’ve had the Linksys router for 3 years. Their service has been impeccable!! For that reason alone it’s worth buying their products. The velop system I bought has been very reliable

Very unreliable. Nodes disconnect randomly even though they are still showing blue light Need power cycle to reset. My nodes are cat5e interconnected so shouldn’t happen. The way the nodes connect to devices is a mystery. Devices in same room as nodes often connect to remote node. Why? As a mesh solution I’m not impressed On plus side main mode stays internet connected pretty well. And the nodes do have decent aesthetics. App is pretty lame as well.

Solved my issue of Wifi coverage in several areas. All my devices connected including Homekit, Funlux cameras and Hue among others. Great devices. Have 4 nodes without any issues!

I had issues setting up my Velop system. I called customer support, spoke to Loby, she was professional, knowledgeable, courteous and spent nearly and hour on the phone with me getting my nodes set up. The first one I tried to set up was defective as a master, but was able to use it as slave. Loby stayed on line with me until I had everything working.

Great wifi service through out entire house. No in and out internet.

I bought this to expand the radius of my ATT fiber. Fire TV recast is very unstable on the Velop, but not on the ATT router. Even small things like the voice dictation works on the fiber, but not on the Velop. Very disappointed I. The purchase. AVOID.
