Ok this router was a replacement to my Linksys wrt1900ac. I will say right now (2020) that this router is probably the worst router I have ever used. It has “killer” prioritization but that’s really all it has and can’t think of anyone that would use it or spend the money to use it. The firmware that comes with the router from factory is severely lacking. The “spi” statefull packet inspection severely drops your speeds and causes you to lag in games and online work. No vlan capability, no real custom config capability on factory firmware. This router is “marketed” as a gaming router. That’s all it was is a marketing push. I would not buy this router. If want an unmanaged, commercial of the shelf soho solution I would look at netgear routers. If you want a managed solution that gives you rich expert level experience I would look at “ub iq ui ti”. It’s literally the same price as this router and you get WAY more configurable features and faster throughput.

I bought this router in the hopes that I could gain additional benefits over my $49 Belkin. I was very wrong. This modem #1. Drops connection constantly to my ISP and there is no explanation why. I have to reboot the router to get it online again. #2. There is some mode where you can get additional speed for your gaming machines called "killer", when it did work with my ISP for the few minutes, any computer not using this software was very slow. over 5 minutes to load the Microsoft default webpage. #3. Extremely lacking in configurability. You can set the starting address of your DCHP serving but not the ending point. Really no reason why you shouldn't be able to do both on a $199 router that my $49 one can. #4. Speed test, I did manage to pull 139mb on download with this versus the 93 I get on my $49 Belkin. But if it can't stay connected to the internet, there is no point in it. #5 I setup port forwarding for my ark server(I run 5) and it didn't forward any of them. Port forwarding seems to be non-functional even though it lets you put the information in. I am returning this to best buy tomorrow and will never purchase a Linksys again.

This router is fast and has an exceptionally long range. It gives me the freedom to roam around the house and even to go to the end of my driveway and still receive reception. I am more than happy with this item.

i got this router cause i got tired of the one from the company having horrible range just from living room to the bedroom. I got this router hooked up and had a little trouble cause the company modem but got it sorted out now i have full signal all threw my house

The salesperson did an amazing job of painting a picture of the routers speed and connectivity, However; the questions I asked about functionality regarding setup, configurations, and network settings, totally fell through. It allows setting static IPs and adjusting WiFi passwords. Looking for third-party firmware to get options I actually want.

Difficult to say a lot about a router. It either does the job or not. This router is high end and very fast. I cannot tell the range as it is off my property! I have a similar model at another house and it has been super.
