I have loved this movie ever since I was a kid, always has been a favorite. I haven’t seen it in years and now I’m 33 and my wife saw y’all had it and surprised me with it. I’ve looked a few times here and there for it and haven’t been able to find it. So I was pretty excited, and now the fact that I can watch with my 2 and 8 year old was amazing and they loved it as well.

You love the movie already. Lion King is a modern Disney classic, so I don't bother going over the plot and story. I'm here to tell you that the UHD release of this film is the absolute definitive way to watch the film now. The details of the original animation cells pop out like never before, and the HDR provides a very stark and beautiful color palette to an already colorful film.

The Lion King is an all-time classic and one of Disney’s finest movies! The animation is sharp, the colors bright, the music is catchy, and the cast is unparalleled. James Earl Jones, JTT, Nathan Lane, Jeremy Irons, and more will have you singing, dancing, crying, laughing, and in awe. The gorgeous SteelBook packaging is the icing on the cake and this edition is not to be missed!

It’s a classic and legendary movie. This movie will give your children a chance to learn how to enjoy a journey called life.

I believe the Lion King remains the best Disney and / or Pixar animated film ever. I own it in 3D but the 4K film version I purchased last month is literally breathtaking offering great clarity snd color to the tragic story of a young lion's fall and subsequent rise to rightfully claim his father's throne. Last, Elton John's brilliant soundtrack rocks. Bravo!

I bought this for my four year old just because it is a classic. When I purchased it, I have no idea that the remake was coming out. He enjoyed The Lion King the way so many kids enjoyed it when it came out over twenty years ago! I'm glad he has it in his collection of movies, and I recommend that everyone has it as a keepsake for years to come!

Christmas present for our son. Was his first movie in the theater. Just sat there in awe of the big screen. Wanted the new opy.

What can I say. It is one of the greatest animated movies ever created for a more than reasonable price. Even though it is only DVD is still looks great on my 4k screen.

I wanted to add the latest Blu-ray release of this fantastic animated feature to my collection and watch it again after some time. Okay, so maybe I did so out of spite for the upcoming "live-action" remake. No matter how convincing the computer-generated imagery may be or become in the future...it is still ANIMATION and NOT LIVE-ACTION!!!

I purchased this movie thinking that it was a spin-off of the movie Madagascar, and that it was all about Alex the Lion, king of the Central Park Zoo. To my dismay, I discovered that it was not at all about that, but about another lion on the African Savannah who becomes king. I was not expecting that plot, but it was a truly enjoyable movie.

We are glad to have this family favorite in our library. No complaints, good price, good service.

Watched this flick for the first time in 15 or more years, today. Still holds up in an INCREDIBLE way. I'm not even nostalgic for this one (Aladdin is my Disney animated nostalgia movie). The animation is beautiful, the soundtrack is catchy and amazing, the humor works, and the movie knows when to tug at the heartstrings.

Disney is finally adding classics to their growing list of 4k content! The Lion King steel-book is definitely worth it! Hopefully, as more classics are released more steel-books will be available as well! The colors are nice and vibrant in this movie! The only thing that Disney should have added was a 3D copy for those with 3D's TVs.

A true Disney Classic. Had to buy this when Best Buy offered a great deal on this Blu-ray.

The Lion King is one of those classic Disney films that is worth buying again and again. The 4K UHD delivers a gorgeous HDR image and the Dolby Atmos mix is truly immersive. As an extra bonus, the digital copy will give you Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos through Vudu. The Lion King 4K UHD is definitely worth checking out.

Giving five stars because it is a terrific movie but I thought from the display of “new releases” that I was getting the 2019 NEW Lion King movie. Did not realize my error until I received this request to review the purchase. Have not opened the package yet but the whole family loves this movie!

There is no nor will there ever be a better disney villain than Scar. I now own 2 copies of this disney classic since disney decided to put the film out on 4K a year after the blu ray came out for the signature collection. The 4K steelbook is far more superior than the blu ray steelbook.

We picked this up because it was the last copy and even at 35 bucks, best buy had the best price. It's a very hot item, going for as much as 75 on eBay. If you see a copy, and remotely like the Lion King or Disney, pick it up. This is the 21st century equivalent of the plastic bubble vhs cases.

I admit, I've never seen this but I loved it. I don't have kids, so that's my excuse. I am a fan of Disney animation though, and it was just a good light piece of entertainment and classic coming of age tale. I guess I'm going to have to break down and get The Little Mermaid next. lol

I grew up watching this movie as a child. We bought it in 4K thinking it wouldn't make much of a difference but we were wrong. This looks amazing in 4K. I know it's upscaled but it really does look incredible. We can't recommend this enough. We can't wait for Alladin as well.
