Great action movie from the 90's. Classic Van Damme.

Van damme doing his thing in this movie. You cannot go wrong with his movies.

It’s a Van Damme movie, so you know what to expect. It’s nice that this blu-ray contains 2 different versions of movie. The theatrical version definitely looks better. It looks like the scenes added to the extended cut have not been preserved as well, but it’s still nice to see some new material.

MVD Rewind has released this special edition of JCVD movie Lionheart. It contains behind the scenes interviews and an extended cut of the film. I hope MVD continues to release these classic Martial Arts movies from the 80's and 90's.

In a nutshell, Van Damme deserts the French foreign legion to see his brother who was burned by street thugs. He doesn't make it in time, then he starts fighting for money to take care of his brother's wife and child. Plenty of fisticuffs to keep you interested.

MVD did a wonderful transfer to this gem. If you love this movie and want a great bluray transfer, this is for you.

This is a great movie with a very touching message about what a man is willing to do for family.

Lionheart is a deffinent-must-have for Jean-Claude Van Damme fans. Filled with anger, betrayl, and the best JCVD fight scenes, by far, Lionheart tells the story of Leon(Lion), while working for the French Foreign Legion, Leon's brother is killed in the city by a bunch of drug dealers. Ecstatic about his loss, he seeks his way out of the Legion and to the city to see his sister-in-law and niece. Along the way he is in search of money to help his brother's family, so, ... well you can guess if you want to, he ends up fighting for cash and gets involved in an underground fighting circuit. The best fights of JCVD are in this movie! The best move in there is his upper-cut elbow. A really good movie for fans of Martial Arts films!

Lionheart is one of the best Jean-Claude Van Damme ever. if you like Jean-Claude Van Damme then this is the movie for you. this movie has some of the best fight scene ever

A great Van Damme movie, but crummy dvd. Full-screen presentation only and an almost complete lack of extras. True fans may want to purchase this as a 'Lionheart' special edition and/or remastered widescreen version are probably very unlikely anytime soon.
