good album its like being right there in the garage

Decent listen but I'd rather listen to a new studio album by the band. They tried too hard to be funny here and their music doesn't translate well to acoustics.

The first thing people need to understand is Steel Panther is a comedy music act, but at the same time extremely talented musicians. This live CD shows a lot of the complex music that goes into their production, and also allows you to easily understand all the punchlines some might miss during their regular performance. I will say that it is more like an MTV unplugged style concert with just female audience which might seem weird if done by a lot of bands, but it fits perfectly with their persona and stage appearance. Highly recommend for great music and some great laughs along the way. If you are not familiar with Steel Panther, be prepared to enjoy the ride and find yourself wondering did they just say what you think they did. The answer is yes, they are outrageous but very enjoyable.
