This DVD is an example of talented friends, both older and younger, having a great time before an appreciative audience. Guitar collaborations between principally Eric Clapton, Derek Trucks, Robert Cray, and the late JJ Cale are the highlights. In fact, the DVD serves mainly as a tribute to the mutually respected musical friendship between Clapton and Cale (and a farewell to the multi-talented Mr. Cale). For blues, Americana, and all guitar afficiendos.

Yet another fine addition to the ever-growing selection of Live Clapton DVD's available from various points in his career; this show was a March 2007 concert in San Diego, and featured Eric's lifelong hero on five tracks, the late, great J.J. Cale (who passed in 2013)..Some spirited playing throughout, ex-Allman Brothers guitarist Derek Trucks is also featured in Eric's band at this point--who could ask for anything more? A highly recommended release!

Loved this concert footage, it features Derek Trucks & Doyle Bramhall who have since been regulars on Eric's Crossroad's Benefit Concerts. Having these two playing side by side with the the guitar great and the rest of talented musicians made for an enjoyable experience. Trust me, I know since I was at the show in Anaheim. Hearing there was footage of the tour with JJ Cale, I had to get this blue ray footage of the guitar legend.

We were so lucky that Clapton filmed this show as JJ Cale died a year or so later.. excellent high definition footage and this is a spectacular show, this video was also shot during the two years that Derek Trucks was in Eric Clapton's band.. I recommend.

Loved the music artistry. The set list was one of rarely heard selections mixed with some old favorites. The pace of the songs was a little slower than I usually like, but Clapton's playing was superb! I know the intent is to make the group sound great, but in concerts I do like to hear the crowd.

Tremendous musical talent recorded for eternity. Laid back classic sound of JJ Cale with the unique blues and rock guitar sound of Clapton. Fantastic musical ingredients resulting in an everlating memorable musical delight.

What can be said. It is Eric Clapton with just good rock music with excellent video quality. If your a fan buy. You will enjoy it.
