This phone is absolutely perfect for seniors. I bought this flip-phone for my sister in-law who has onset dementia. She had an iphone and it just became too much for her. I had seen a few ads for Lively and the Jitterbug and thought this would be exactly what we needed. My sister in-law loves this phone because it just goes back to the basics. We love the emergency button as well. Another thing worth mentioning is the super easy way to charge this phone with the included stand. Definitely recommend for anyone considering purchasing for a senior. Its wonderful!!

Got a great deal at Best Buy, with large discounts. I note that the battery needs to be charged often. Nevertheless it's easy to love this phone. It comes with complete directions, and it is easy to use. I don't need a huge learning curve to operate it as it seems pretty straight forward.

I purchase this Jitterbug as a gift for an elderly neighbor. My neighbor loves the phone. I set it up for her and she is well pleased. I highly recommend this Jitterbug for people who can't maneuver all the bells and whistles of an iPhone. For basic calling and receiving calls and messages, it fits the bill. Also, Customer service is very helpful if and when there is a problem.

Simple phones have come a long way. My 99-year old grandmother needed a phone while away from home, and this does the trick. Nothing too complicated - speed dial helps her call me or my mom easily, and it's compact and comes with a charging port that allows the phone to stand up on her nightstand. Glad I found this!

This is a good phone and I would use it if I didn't have so much going on that my phone helps me organize.
I bought the phone for my brother who is hard of hearing. I turned the phone up all the way and put it on vibrate and he still had issues. That part hasn't changed, but I had to get him a captions phone so he could read anything he didn't hear well enough. Really sad the phone didn't work out.

Generally it is a good phone for basic needs for older people.
Few problems after we bought it: it was impossible to activate it vis online, therefore we had do call to the company to activate the service and small amount of ring tones to choose ( all of them are not loud enough). Otherwise, it works fine for now ( 2 weeks after purchase)

This is the only phone we purchase for my aunt who has dementia. It's the easiest to understand and the only one that doesn't leave her frustrated. The only thing is that we have to glue the volume button so that she can't accidentally turn the volume all the way up or all the way off.
It says that the star ratings were optional but the system required me to give them a rating. The camera sucks because it's not built for that and I couldn't tell you about battery life because it's almost always on the charger. It would have just left this information out had I been giving the option.

The phone itself gets 5 stars. -1 star for the service being both geared to seniors and also too obtuse for seniors to use. If you have to have the grandkids set up the phone, it's not really geared to seniors, now is it? That said, the actual service is great - it works everywhere, their tech support resolves most issues quickly and properly, and the features of the phone are as advertised. It lasts pretty much forever on a single charge, is easy to see and find, and is just a great, basic phone for older people (or teenagers who don't need social media).

I am a 34-year-old male. I work full time. I am a father and a husband. Downgrading from the most current iPhone to this old-school flip phone has been the greatest decision I have ever made. This phone allows me to do exactly what phones were originally designed to do: communicate with my loved. Over the years I have seen technology continue to tighten its grip on the minds of its users. I was one of those users. Once I deactivated my iPhone, ported the number to my new Jitterbug, and flipped open my new friend, I could feel the heaviness being lifted off. I felt the grip loosen. It was about my family again. It was about life, love, and the outdoors again. I felt free. This may just seem like a small, simple flip phone.. but to me it is freedom. It is worth more than the price.

Bought for my mom. She loves the security of the emergency help button. She has extremely bad arthritis & she can handle this phone well. I had to lock the side buttons (great feature) so she couldn't accidentally lower the volume.

My buying experience was outstanding — thank you, Jordan! The phone is exactly what I wanted. I believe they now call them “dumb phones”…suits me fine, I’m into reading and thinking. The only minor issue I have is the battery life. From a full charge, left on, but closed, it only lasts a day. I’ll just have to make sure I have a charger in the car, which is the only time I really need the phone.

The easiest phone I've found to transition from analog to digital for those who can't seem to get a grip on digital. It's user interface works very much like the analog phone it replaced, but now numbers can be easily blocked - text and voice mail messages managed much easier. Good sound quality on calls. The large buttons are great! The Emergency Services Plan option gives some peace of mind and has it's own button on the phone. Customer Service is excellent, professional, friendly and went the extra mile to help.
On the down side the ringers nor the volume on calls are loud enough to hear easily so I use the speakerphone function to increase the volume on calls and the loudest ringer offered (still can't hear it from another room).
All in all, it is a very good phone for those who don't want to deal with all the digital stuff and just use it as a phone.

I bought this phone for a 93 year old in a nursing home. This is actually the 2nd Lively phone I purchased for her as she dropped the first. It is so simple for her to use. The numbers are large and easy for her to read and press correctly; it is simple to operate; and the monthly cost is reasonable. Customer service has been very helpful every time I have had the need to reach out to them.

I bought my Mom another Jitterbug flip phone. It's very easy to operate the phone even if you dont read instruction book. Calls are clear.
My only issue is Jitterbug needs to charge out batteries instead of being made to buy new phone. Congress made a law saying you are supposed to replace the battery at affordable rate not be required to buy a new phone. The good news is the phone lasted 5 years before battery died and is still very affordable, compact and light weight. Overall, love the phone, the billing and excellent customer service!

This a great phone for my disabled senior brother. It was easy to set up. Every time I called the customer service, which was at least 5 times, I got excellent, helpful, representatives. This cell and service had the best reception in his building. I tried another provider and couldn't call out or receive calls, due to the older building with thick stone walls.

My dad has been very happy with this phone. He’s very hard of hearing and other flip phones were just got working. Buttons are large and easy for him to use. My only problem was with set up. Took longer than expected at the store as the phone kept saying there was no service for both our addresses. Seemed to be a glitch but the Best Buy employees kept at it and did a wonderful job!!!

The improvements from my 5 year old Lively are remarkable. I stayed with the Flip 2 Cell Phone for seniors because my hands are small and the larger phone with more features wasto large and would not fit in pockets. Definitely recommend this new phone, I am 89.

Flip phone purchased for my elderly mother. It has limited features which is perfect for her and what she has had in the past. She prefers this size over the smart phone offered. Service at Best Buy was excellent.
